Can I have a female chocobo?

my name, is firedash, im a transgender pyrochocobo....

I refer to my chocobo as a she anyway! (even though lore wise it doesn't make sense)

Oh. I kinda just assumed mine was a girl.

..Just call it a female? Technically I imagine Chocobos dont really have any gender differences in Plumage or anything, really. I mean... what are you expecting??

Lol... we still call it breeding. Just because it doesn't produce a little butt baby doesn't stop us from trying to make one, lol! Also, science has come a long way. Two males CAN actually have a child by using a blank egg which is injected with one male's DNA and a sperm cell from another male to fertilize. It may still involve an egg and male juice, but the genetic code that will make up the person still comes from two males. So, what's REALLY happening in nature included what can be done with science, as science can not do anything that the laws of nature will not allow for.

It's the same idea in many frog and fish populations that are vastly male or female. The members of the population can actually spontaneously switch genders, going from producing eggs to producing sperm. Both reproductive cells really have similar internal parts, including two halves of a DNA strand. So yeah, offspring can ACTUALLY be produced from the genes of two females, two males, two intersex, or any combination, simply as long as the two partner can provide a half of a strand of DNA.

So enough science talk, back to topic. How does one tell if a Chocobo is male or female without getting a close look at the under carriage? They all pretty much look the same to me, even the ones in the stables. The roosters don't have dangly bits on their beaks or necks.

Which, incidentally, is exactly what happened in Jurassic Park.

While one of my character's chocobo is named after a female Fire-Aspected Dragon-Blooded, it is a rather gender neutral name.

Also, I have no issue with a male chocobo named Rainbow Dash.

How would it be different if I used another name? And who?

If SE wanted all our Chocobos to be male for lore reasons, they should've paid more attention to their own lore during heavensward. Bentbranch Meadows has female Chocobos, they're not Ishgard exclusive, and they look the same as ours.

Anita Sarkeezian is in some circles known as a femi nazi. Haven't really watched many of her videos, as the ones I did watch felt like she over simplified the scenario in order to make men come off as misogynistic. Sure there are issues, but I don't think you can describe /all/ of those issues as an inherent dislike of women. But yeah having watched two videos of the many she has, I don't think I have a fair right to evaluate the truth of the nazi statement or not.

Screw the lore. My choco can be a girl if she(he) wants to.
Who are we to judge anyways? A bunch of guys that play as girls? Maybe the chocobo also wants to play the cross-gender game.

also, that was completely uncalled for. Very few MLP fans are Social justice warriors (feminazi's, falsely claiming to be feminists), and the ones that are tend to be scum that need to be dissolved alive in acid. the rest of us are just fun loving people, with a passion for RP.

Side note: Bentbranch Meadows dude is actually from Ishgard. It's all there in the dialog. :/ My bet, he smuggled em out. :3
