What are your opinions on DD and AV being in the new relic quest?

If you want to get technical, I think those two dungeons have always been required. To unlock AK you had to beat Aurum Vale for your Grand Company and to unlock Aurum Vale you had to do DD for your Grand Company. Also, those two dungeons are in the book part of the atma stage. My current whm book has Aurum Vale and I'm not looking forward to it. -_- I don't mind DD as much as Aurum Vale, though.

U can do legendary sac and pull speed runs that only ak pre nerf ppl know lol
DD = get tank to pull everything and stan in crystal light at last room before 1st boss. Get a person to get terminal. If you have a blm, sleep nuke them or just let tank die an rez him thus skipping / locking out mobs.
After 1st boss, sac and pull all the way to 2nd boss and rez tank after dying.
After 2nd boss get tank to round up all the mobs near the terminals.
Everyone get a terminal while tank kites/sprints. Run to last boss and rez tank.
Done! Only took like 7-15 mins or so.
U can sac and pull in AV a bit.
Just rez tank at 1st boss,
Grab morbol mobs and burn them, sac and pull after to 2nd boss and rez tank.
Sneak past the mobs in the pit and then burn down next mob + morbol mob. Sac and pull to last boss and done!
The dungeons seem okay if u can do sleep reset/ locking out/ burn mob runs.

But the rng is what makes it unbearable i guess cuz it really does seem unfair for ppl to run it 100 times and get no drops. Regardless if they put 2x effort than the next guy.

I know that, but I still feel bad for newbies that just want maximum XP or even good parts of it when you they get paired with 2-3 50's that want Zodiac, it just gets ridiculous on both levels.

DD you can sleep most everything and just lock it all out.

AV you can MGS past a large portion of the mobs.

But yes complete retarded they are in the relic quest. They offer 0 tomes and you have to play them gimped.

I know how to sac AV, it's just that 90% of players are there for EXP. I'm even starting to consider leaving dungeons that ask for full clears. 45 minutes is longer than the 30 penalty + 4 minutes queue. 9 runs has what little patience I had for my least fav dungeon lost.

If you think it's okay to leave when people ask for full runs, do everyone a favor and PF the remainder of your dungeon drops. Not only is it selfish, it presumes that your time is worth more than everyone else's. Some players are doing this for the experience of completing the dungeon as it was designed, and not to turn it into a Speedflox. It's hard enough to keep a group together for AV as it is. No one needs more broken groups due to player selfishness.

DD and Av both suck. Having to run them the first time sucked. Farming them now is....a waste of time for the players.

I got the AV drop on my first try, but DD I keep getting people who want to do full exp runs and I don't have the patience to wait an hour or more to finish a single run.

I stopped queueing for it on my healer to level after 2 or 3 runs with people skipping the first room, quitting on them when I noticed that they skipped it because those same people are the ones who destroy the pods. It's basically a waste of time because of the lost experience compared to FATE groups considering how long that dungeon still is.

Thanks again for those wonderful experiences of noticing a high level tank in the group just to see that he suddenly runs towards boss room instead of, you know, tanking.
