That doesn't excuse SE from excluding us from an entire class just like that though. I was looking forward to becoming a gun-toting pirate, so the fact that they decide to scrap the entire NOTION of musketeer becoming playable leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, personally.

I guess so, but since this is SE we're talking about I wouldn't hold my breath just yet. At least we have a gun class of some sort to play with in the meantime.

i dont think it means there won't be MSK. there will be multiple jobs using swords, don't see why that wont also might happen with guns...

I am SO happy. I haven't been this happy about this game in a LONG time. A really long time. I am absolutely thrilled.

The guns look so cool and the turret is cool and the attachments are rumoured to be like actions or something like ninja's mudras or something? And turrets/automatons so I can be like TF2's engi or maybe Borderland 2's Gaige!

Oh man. Ohhh sweet lady Llymlaen I'm excited.

I know! I know! OMG!! *dances with you* I know you and I have discussed this withone another on the forums before... our love, need an waiting for this. Seriously I am so happy right now, and I agree... this is the happiest I've been about this game in quite a while!!

I think I'm in heaven...is this heaven Llen?! Because I swear it is!!! Look angels are singing, the sun is shining, guns are going off... ITS HEAVEN!!!! :D

Lets not mistake this for what this is guys. It's not a Gunner CLASS but a JOB. We have yet to see a gunner class and I suppose we will never see a gunner class.

I wonder if that flying thing will just be a temporary turret on auto attack? I'd really rather not have to micromanage a pet.

I really hope it's bassically the same as summoner,scholar except instead of fairies/egis you have different machina

The turrets here look like they follow you, and if they're anything like the summons, will not go down easily. So no, not like GW2's engineer.

What Kai said! I only ever said "I want Musketeer!" 'cause that's the only thing I knew it as. I don't care at all what it's called, just that we're getting guns. And did you see those things?! They look so cool!

At this point I'll take a pet just to have some sort of gun job, I guess the turret pet itself isn't that bad if you view it like a fairy. I would still have liked the original concept of Musketeer and to dual wield guns, but it's been 4 years and a single gun is better than no guns so I'll take it. Machinists are alright in Tactics and they look alright here too.
