Lobby Server and Leviathan Server are down

I do not mean to hyjack this thread, but why is the class way at the bottom of the left hand side under my picture and everyone else is right under the words "Main Class"?

Balming coming up and down the time spans are very short.

Primal's Data Center is down. Unable to log in to Behemoth for the past 30mins.

Every time I get online I get kicked in a few minutes. Something is really messed up somewhere :(

And now we have the source to the problem >:P. It's a witch! BURN HER!

Yeah, Zalera's down, too. Looks like all of NA is down.

question i just started play this yesterday i was playing archeage but quit due to all the connection issues couldent play 75% of the time please tell me this dosent happen very often i love this game been a big fan of final fantasy since the first final fantasy hoping to be apart of the community for a long time. wish i learned about this game sooner lol.

I can't even get to the main menu to try to access the lobby. Time for bed it seems. Please have this fixed soon.

A natural disaster is not analogical to to a server crash. They are called natural because they are out of human control. A server crash on the other hand is something that is perfectly under human control and can be avoided. Yes, sh*t happens, but I'm not paying SE for sh*t to happen. If you go to a restaurant, and come out with food poisoning, sh*t probably happened in that restaurant, but that's not an excuse for bad service, and most likely that restaurant is getting sued. Not very logical to say that "find something else to do with your life than eat".

This isn't too common, from what I've seen. Of course, I haven't kept up with the game as much as normal here lately.

If you think tech can't up and fail for no reason (in other words: out of human control), you haven't worked with tech much. Stuff like this happens, and yes it can be out of human control. Hard drives and such die, software glitches, etc. Tech ain't perfect.

Tried for hours to get in. Hope they fix it soon

Cerberus is gone also.

Got disconnected standing around in Mor Dhona waiting for a friend but got back on pretty fast then, was tanking a dungeon for said friend and started getting bad lag spikes and then poof.

Now I just keep getting a lobby error and my friend can't even get that far.

It doesn't happen that often at all. There will be specific world technical difficulties every once in a while, but those usually get resolved fast too.

Nah, you're saying what's on my mind as well with the servers. :P I was trying to get a level or two on WHM with a friend, and this happened. Frustrating, but ah well.

This is extremely rare to be honest. They have been very good on keeping the servers in good shape. I would definitely encourage you to enjoy this game. Though some people have issues playing due to not Square Enix's servers but the internet service providers between them and the servers. In those cases, people use VPN technology such as Ping Zapper or WTFast to get around them.

aright thanks for the info sadly my computer is messed up curently motherbord fried so playing on ps3 till i can get a new computer. using wifes windows 95 comp to go on the forums currently

Oh, you're one of those...and by "those" I mean a self-entitled prick who feels they deserve special treatment because you pay for services that everyone else pays for. Guess what, that's not the way the world works. I agree with Leyza, that technology is by no means within our realm of control. We as humans can work with it and improve upon it, yes... however, at the rate that technology evolves. We can not control it. Pure ignorance is what this is.

Yep, Brynhildr is also fried. I can get to the character selection screen if I am lucky, but I don't go much farther than that.

Of course not, I only spent 4 years in an university studying computers. I'm definitely not aware of how techs can fail. Who better to not know about tech than someone who has a degree on tech? The game keeps getting buggier with every patch, but of course that must be out of SE's hands. Because their Hard Drive's been crashing for the past 6 months. Imagine how much money they've been spending on new drives. If only that money could be invested into monitoring the server .... Damn those tech natural disasters!

And Devildante, you have no idea what the problem was/is and it could be ISP related and not SEs fault. Just chill out. And after 4 years you should know by now that no amount of preperation can prevent every issue and a cost analysis report will tell you it's not even worth it to try.

I think a lot of the reaction comes from seeing quite a few people online who don't just get blinded by anger, but believes tech to be perfect all the time, and if it isn't, it's the fault of the creator and not just bad luck. I won't deny I assumed you to be the same (after spending a lot of time on the WoW CS forums and just seeing it online on a day-to-day basis.)
