There is no question that 110 crafted gear is the superior choice when you don't have 130 available. Also there is no question that the extra vit provided by said crafting gear helped put fc's over the hump in clearing fcob as fast as they did. However to say that 110 crafted body pieces are generally better than 130 gear is foolish. The only reason why you're saying that is because you don't have enough of the 130 gear to meet your vitality needs. Generally 130 body pieces are better than their crafted counterparts with a few exceptions. When it comes to pure damage/heal output for dps/heal classes 130 > 110 in most cases. Now when it comes to accessories, its debatable about which is better for dps/heals/tanks. It really comes down to if you need the vit for a dps/heal class or more str for a tank class. I know a few groups that needed the crafted accessories to overcome savage coil while there were other groups that did fine without it. It really depends on your cup of tea when it comes to accessories.
Yeah, in certain cases, where the i130 gear isn't completely lackluster for your class (smn, brd, and im sure other classes), left side gear is generally better. I agree 100% with that, and I also stated that earlier. However, I don't think that it's much of a debate that pentamelded accessories are always better than Coil/Poe accessories. I feel like they're simply way too powerful compared to what you get with a basic ring. Up to 5 stats compared to the base 3. You can get up to +75 freaking vit for dps. Tweak your accuracy to help you reach caps, and if you're confident with HP, stack a crap load of SS or Det or Crit. Most people are saving the SS for left side gear, but you get the point.
You're wrong and my math proves it. Keep ignoring it though. You're far too focused on Vit and that will be why you're the weakest person in your party.
"Look guys I can take a hit!"
"dude you hit like a wet noodle though"
The only time this method is relevant is when you're pushing the coils faster than you can obtain poe and coil gear. The moment you have true 130 gear it will exceed the capabilities of melded gear. The math is there to back this up. There are very very few slots that can actually be better than 130 gear. That bard body was a good example, but even then the 130 coil drop spanks it like a bad child. In both gear examples you gave I was able to show both the theoretical dex based on stat weights and in both examples I was able to show a piece for that slot that was higher level and better. You can not sit here and act like there is no debate with mathematical evidence right in front of your face like that. At some point you're just being willfully ignorant of facts.
I would say add melding but no slots. start at 45% chance. Moving forward from there. Also only on last patches gears.
