Not sure where you guys getting these $100+ prices for 3.0 from.

I got CE for ps3 and it was only $80, and I've never seen an expansion in any MMO that cost more than the client.

I wouldn't expect it to cost more than $40 at most, and that's pushing it.

Also, 2.5 will likely have the 2.X Main story Final battle. So not having a primal battle is a given so they can focus on the final battle against ( someone :P). So yes Shiva being the last primal of 2.X is right on cue for 2.5's final battle to wrap up the base story of FFXIV ARR.

Hmmm... well i cant think it'll be over $100.

Likely 3-4 months after 2.5 so take the current patch lifecycle of 3-5 months. from 2.4 that drops tomorrow.. I'd say about.. april/may

Japanese LOVE their premium goodies.
I've seen older games have $60-80 CEs despite being not that popular, the right feelies could justify much higher prices.

Very rarely does that happen. Since it comes out in Spring 2015 retailers more than likely already have the finalized price so it varies on which place you get it (as usual) but considering ARR is a new MMO still and their current cash grab, expect it to be between $40$50 for the Windows version and $30-$40 for PS3/4.

I'm pretty certain that only the expansion. Seeing how it give information only on what coming in Heavensward. It may just be a place holder for the real price later down maybe it would change in the last fan fest or it could be the right price.

Seeing how FFXIV is a new game and they need to make there money back from making Heavensward. It could be the right price for it and we just have to pay 60$ for it :(.

I just pre-order two PC copy for me and my gf :). I hoping later they add a download version. Because i can care less about the box and CD tbh.

It is far too early to assume that Amazon's listed price is correct.

I'm expecting 3 months after 2.5 Oct 2014 for 2.4, jan/feb for 2.5, April/May for 3.0. With pre-orders probably around March.
