Looks interesting, looks different.

I will definitely be previewing it on my character via 'Try On' to get a feel for it's look.

I do hope that if it is upgradeable like the Soldiery set, that the upgraded version is able to be dyed.

Though it would be nice if you could dye it from the get-go for once.

As far as Soldiery gear goes, I may be one of the only people that likes the armored White Mage look (healer gear).

This is such a HUGE visual upgrade from the soldiery set! LOVE IT.

That white mage gear is amazing! is this really the new tome gear? :O awesome

Also The Sol, Sol+, Allagin, High Allagin, LotA, ST, Darklight, and Direwolf gear also cone in 6 sets, with at least 3 sets be shared by 2 classes each (4 sets now)

I don't see where it says NIN specifically gets aiming gear, but I do see where they added DEX to all the old MNK gear, so more than likely the new Striking set is the gear NIN will have to share with MNK with DEX stats on it.

Reminds me alot of the Phantasy Star armours. I like it!

As a PSO2 player, I can say with honest confidence that it very nearly looks like it had been ripped straight out of that game.

It looks better now that I can see that it's not just black and white. Actually like the healer gear a lot. Hard to tell on the caster gear since they used a Lala model (no offense) but it's definitely more to my liking than the soldiery gear was. I probably still won't display headgear, though.

I already have the i80 DRG glamoured so this black and white theme doesn't appeal to me. But ill reserve judgment until I get to see them at better angles.

looks like cid reverse-engineered allagan tech. patch notes confirms the gear as magitek.

wonder how we are going to re-enforce these items.

edit: found out meself. i'm guessing we will have the same drop points for these as we did in coil 2. carboncoat and encrypted on turn 2, carbontwine and coat on 3 and 4.

probably have to give it to one of cid underlings (i doubt biggs or wedge) or gerolts apprentice.

OMG SMN finally gets a cool outfit again, about time, not stuck with that FCOB dirty wraps they call gear.

No, I was just referring to both the difficult distinguishing which of the 7 characters in the picture are wearing the same set as another and the fact that other people were insisting that the Ninja was getting its own set of Ironworks and Dreadwyrm gear this past week.

And after looking at the Power Rangers for a minute or two, I realized that MNK and NIN are separate gear sets. So once again, Casters, Healers and Tanks are the only ones to share gear >.< Sure, it's cheaper to buy -- but impossible to customize glamours D:


....or are they? O.o the patch notes DO only mention six sets, but there are seven on the picture, and I can't see any similarities between the NIN one and any of the others.... I are officially confused D:

Do like the healer set tho, is cute.

The bards bow for some reason reminds me of the orbital frames in zone of the enders lol, anyway I'm liking the new tome gear sets and I shall get the bards and caster gear set first.

nowhere in the patch notes did it say NIN was sharing Aiming gear from FCoB or poetic tomes. you can just look at the picture and see very distinguishing features between the NIN tome set and BRD tome set. im guessing they intentionally left out the NIN tome set name and NIN Dreadwyrm set name just to tease us like they always do.

Yes I have seen the MNK PVP gear and it looks like an actual Power Rangers suit lol. What I was personally getting at was the fact these outfits look so uniformed, that they scream a "squadron" of sorts and that there isn't much defining qualities between them that sets "caster" or "healer" apart from each other, especially the DoW theirs look so much alike ><. I'm just rambling now lol.

these are coming from garlond ironworks, i don't doubt alphinaud had some influence when cid was deciding on the design of it.

patch notes as large as this is bound to have things slipping through the cracks.

I could care less and more about how they look. Alot of the gear that's come and gone has been pretty lacklustre in their stats, literally only 6 pieces of Daystar were worth giving my time for, less for Auroral. Same with the weapons, Yagrush and Glanzfaust being the only must-haves. If these Garlond pieces are just as lacklustre then there's going to be little reason to bother with them.

Ninja gear is recoloured bard gear this time (or possibly not even recoloured). It's a bit difficult to see because of their different poses, but the gear is the same mesh and possibly the same colour, if the pants are black in the centre and white on the outside.

edit; just looked again and it's definitely a recolour. But you can see from the skirt, shoes and shoulders that it's the same gear. Also, it looks like we will get some kind of kickass glowing /visor. I'm pumped.

Love the healer gear. It doesn't look over the top like daystar.
