Tons of stuff to be sure... and most of it... underwhelming to me, though I know I'll be in the minority on that.
Maybe a minion or two in there I'd like....
Most of it just not worth the grind to me.
HM fights haven't had drops since the original 3. They should have at least implemented an item to boost the iLvl to i115 like Leviathan mirrors. Leviathan EX was farmed like crazy when it came out because it was actually worth running for the weapons as an alternative to T5 weapons with an upgrade to make them better than T5 weapons to go into Second Coil. Moggle Mog EX by comparison was ignored by the community outside of getting your clear because everybody understood that it was a marginal upgrade and thus nobody cared about the fight.
NIN and ROG's changes to Sneak and Trick Attack confuse me.
In XI, which is where a lot of their moves are from, Sneak Attack took effect when you stood behind the enemy, as per the name; Trick Attack occurred in its entirety when you stood behind someone else attacking the enemy.
I feel like they just switched places and the names don't matter much now.
My Question is this, the patch notes said:
- Armor and accessories issued in exchange for Allagan tomestones of mythology (item level 90) have been removed from both the Hunt Billmasters and Auriana
Where are these i90 gear going to go? Dungeons or somewhere else?
Guess tome gear is getting the same system as 2.2.Quote:
Rowena's Token (Poetics) - Other - A note of promise received from Rowena for the delivery of Allagan tomestones of poetics.
Encrypted Tomestone - Other - While Garlond Ironworks engineers insist tomestones contain reams of invaluable information gathered by the lost Allagan Empire, even they are at a loss how to decipher the content of this particular one.
Carboncoat - Other - Born of Allagan ingenuity, this aetherochemical concoction is said to increase a gem's hardness.
Carbontwine - Other - Born of Allagan ingenuity, this aetherochemically engineered fiber can be used to improve the durability of almost anything.
UAT -> Encrypted Tomestone
Oil of Time -> Carboncoat
Sands of Time -> Carbontwine
Exhausting...
oh my god some of ninja's moves are downright broken in effect / potency O_O
Everycast being canceled by attacks also apply to BLM. Which was his point because blm is literally useless if one person attack it.
I was hoping this patch would allow firestarter to stack twice but i guess the devs like the idea of fire weaving being the only way to not waste firestarter proc
Well the first issue is comparing it to FFXI. Sneak attack is a 500 pot attack when stealth and in front of the target.. Trick is only 400 when behind. SATA isn't back but when soloing or PvP SA is going to be a nice opener. So now Sneak attack is an attack while sneaking and trick attack debuffing the target.
I think it depend what their weapon's damage is gonna be and the cooldown on their mentra.
but it seems like the devs gave them everything. big damage. attack speed. movement. stun. silence. offgcd attacks.
This has the potential of being wow's deathknight disaster if their weapon's damage is high enough
I play all 3 of them, BLM, WHM and SCH in PvP. I know it applies to every caster, BLMs however arent focused by 4~5 dpsers all the time making a whole class completely nulled because even if you use Equanimity, you'll get stunlocked, silenced and pushed (if not LBed). BLMs can kite around while using Scathe and I've never been focused that badly as BLM, rarely happens. In fact I usually get 100k+ damage dealt because they're busy zerging healers. My latest record was getting a cast canceled with a 20 damage (stoneskin) attack on me, so it probably is caused by being attacked, not damage dealt, which is bs.
They keep nerfing healers because several healers in a single party is too op, but at the same time every nerf applied makes a party the need of more healers to be efficient. People then will complain is too op still, and more nerf will come, making more healers needed even more, and so on. Until they completely disable the posibility to queue as a healer/switch class inside to healer I guess.
am i missing something, or where are these skill infos?
:D I'm so happy it's gender-neutral. Too bad I won't get to see manqo'tes running around in bridesmaid's dresses.Quote:
Best Man's Jacket | Body | Item Level: 1 / Equipment Level: 1
The only thing I got from the patch notes: Thumpity thump thump, thumpity thump thump... >w>
A name is just a name. FFVII had sneak attack materia that gave the party first strike.
And how much do you think it cost to buy all the materia to reach those levels?
Doesn't look like we can use Sneak Attack and Trick Attack for coil or any important fights. Can only use under the effect of Hide, but can't use Hide in combat or against an enemy 10 lvls higher than you. Kind of lame. :/
To make the new crafting set you would need well over 15 of the new beast man tribe item but that new item cost 8 beast men coins each? Am I looking at that right?
Goad: Refreshes TP of a single party member. Duration: 30s
So~~~ ROG is the new RDM? lol...
Also that Mug ability, I guess it'll be the new go-to farmer over Holy spam.
I like the buff to Fieldcraft 3 generation by making artisan tokens able to be desynthed. Time to make a couple of stacks of Rose Gold Cogs for patch day. I shudder to think about HQ'ing the supra tokens though. Also, did they leave out the Ninja Dreadwyrm gear? It's clearly visually distinct from the mnk and the brd set, but it isn't list in the items as it should be.
People just bought ALL the mastercraft demimaterias in Sargatanas.
I'm referring to their obvious inclusion from XI, as the effects are, more or less, the same from XI but just swapped with each other.
VII didn't have positional awareness during battle (not referring to back or pincer attacks, as they really doesn't have anything to do with actually moving during battle).
Lots of their abilities are from XI, so it's only natural to assume that attacks like Gust Slash, Aeolian Edge, SATA, TA, Kiss of the Wasp (Wasp Sting), etc., would do similar results in XIV as a lot of elements have been drawn from said game, but this is like, a 180 in terms of what SATA and TA do.
Is it me or does the new tome gear look just as bad??
The crafted gear looks good but the tome....doesn't seem to have improved from the soldiery looks one bit.... and why is bard barely ever shown...its like were that child nobody wants to admit they own or something...
Well, Suiton gives the effect, Suiton. Now this is just some connecting the dots, but if you watch the Anniversary ninja gameplay video, you will see that after using Suiton (Giant Waterspout jutsu), 2 darkened skills become useable. We will get confirmation on patch day, but it seems like Suiton lets you use hidden skills in battle.
"Head of the Dreadwyrm" so yeah... guess that settles what the final turn of coil is...
