The 2 hour window is going to be a 10 min ceremony and then an hour and 50 min negotiating a pre-nup. Which will be one of the ways you level up your new "crafting" class Lawyer. They will also gain xp by processing divorces and negotiating housing sales. It will be like RL...they won't actually producing anything, but they will make lots of money.

I'm guessing that the part that takes two hours is the picking out of the clothing. I know my RL wife and I will likely take that long there, our window will expire, and the game will like, auto-divorce us or something and we'll have to wait for the next weekly reset to try again <_<

I would imagine if the initial buyer has not logon for 35days, then the ownership will be auto transferred to the other partner... ^^;
It solves if one of the partners lost access to his/her account, something like those FC issues...
By extending this logic, the house should be owned by both partners, as the house might be bought with the gils from both partners,
therefore, I think there should be a system to prevent one partner losing the property when another partner betrayed.
