Funny I see this thread I was thinking over the last couple of days I really don't like beating on "Scarface Bugaal Ja" All he wants to do is bath, and do pelvic thrusts(dance)

I never understood why most mobs in MMORPG's are so cute and innocent looking. I thought monsters should look ugly dangerous and hungry in order for us to kill them. Killing sheepmice and all this cute stuff doesn't make me feel mighty.

For me, it's Ritathyn sas Aravina, whom I think gave some very good reasons for his loyalty to his commanding officer, and Gaius van Baelsar himself, of whom I am not yet convinced is truely dead.

Is it weird to feel a bit bad for Gaius van Baelsar?
If this were any other FF game, he'd be right along the lines of General Leo, General Beatrix, or (more obviously, appearance-wise) Judge Gabranth. Only, he had no "true" villain to get much of a chance to play foil to -- FFXIV's Kefka-analogue, Nael van Darnus, had to go and get himself killed (well, more or less) in 1.0, and Lahabrea was a chump who feels like a footnote on the whole affair.
