Garuda Extreme is consistently giving bright light.

Titan HM, Ifrit HM - gentle light
Tam Tara HM - bright light

Hull Breaker Isle

The Veil of Wiyu Novus emits a brilliant light!

Edit- going to try main story roulette next.

Also 7 treasure maps, from which 6 were Alexandrite maps and one was Peisteskin, all gave Gentle Light.

I'm not seeing a difference in the brightness on the weapon picture.

I'm wondering if there's a cap per day.

Either that, or we will need to do a loooooooooot more of those. I did the same with ST run's and i don't see a difference in color (within the weapon scroll as shown on the first page) either.

Pharos Sirius gives a Bright Light.

EDIT: Ramuh HM gives a Bright Light, and I've updated my post on the first page to compile everything mentioned.

Expert Roulette landed me in Tam-Tara HM, which gave a brilliant light.

Did ST twice and both times it resulted in a blinding light.

Flox HM

Got brilliant light from Tam-Tara Hard.
Got feeble light from every FATE I did.
Got gentle light from Titan HM.
Got blinding light from Syrcus Tower.

Syrcus Tower

ST: Blinding
Titan HM: Gentle
T4: Gentle

In that order, all before 11pm JP reset last night.

Anyone know what the "best" light is?

someone on reddit posted recently this information... I will continue to compile in the morning all the information given in this thread and edit original post to show which gives which light. I won't share the reddit post incase SE deems it a breach of conduct for the forums but I wil share the info and continue to tes it the next dew days very thoroughly as I am sure many of you will as well hehe.


You need 2000 Light on your weapon to finish soul attunement. The first picture was with the value of light set at 1999. It is obviously not enough.

I'll update these values as I figure out more but so far:

Feeble: 1 Light
Gentle: 4 Light
Brilliant: ?
Blinding: 8 Light
Newborn Star: ?

Tiers:

'No Activity': 0 - 199
'Indisctinct Activity': 200-399
'Faint Activity': 400-599
'Slight Activity': 600-799
'Modest Activity': 800-999
'Distinct Activity': 1000-1199
'Robust Activity': 1200-1399
'Vigorous Activity': 1400-1599
'Intense Activity': 1600-1799
'Extreme Activity': 1800-1999
'Bursting Activity': 2000+ (Complete)

I just did frontlines and only got brilliant light. But this was a 48 man frontline. But it seems like everything is giving less light as the day has gone on. Nobody has reported getting a newborn star since this morning. everything seems to have dropped a tier. Might be buffed after reset then drop after its been completed a certain amount of times. Which would be stupid and give an advantage to people that play at that time.

edit just did a 72 man and still only brilliant. nothing is giving me as much now as it was earlier in the day. Must be a fatigue system in place.

Idk if it helps clear things up, but I heard from someone I was in ST with that for some instances, the duration of the run has something to do with the light you receive.

Good god! I thought the weapon is going to changed, but another bigger glow? Seriously? Some of this look like it could blind you! It come to a point where the glow such as the bow will blind people when you pull it out.

Tried to do Timeworn Leather Map, did NOT give any light.

Levi EX = Bright Light

No Light at all from S hunts, even with max rewards.

Ramuh ex gave me blinding light

Just did ifrit HM and got nothing. Edit: I have zodiac glass in my inventory and novus equip

did you talk to the guy again in north shroud and take the quest / request to undertake nexus upgrade he will polish your weapon before you can see the lights hehe. He will give you the orb but u need to undertake the quest

Players must first complete the quest "Star Light, Star Bright."
I talked with Jalzahn gave me the Zodiac Glass. Talked to him again and choose novus soulglazing and he soul glazed my weapon.

11 pm server time and Garuda gives gentle again.

Titan is bright now.

Just did the Odin FATE. He only gives a Feeble Light, sadly. Odds are Behemoth is the same way. Also, updated my list on the first page, and it appears the TC is doing the same thing, good on ya man.

according to BG post, Newborn star is 16p, Blinding is 12p, Bright being 4p and i think Brilliant was 8p or something.

So Titan Hard mode gives Brilliant and Gentle? I just fought him and he gave me Gentle. Dunno if that is a typo and someone ment to put EX or if he's capable of giving both.

yes the same fights can give you different lights... there are several theories... some are that it is time and effeciency based but consensus are start to say its time of day. will keep monitoring over the next few weeks and continue to update original post as we learn more.

I completed this quest (Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics)
Now I have complete 2 roulette (Experd nad Hard) + 1 treasure hunt - after complete each one i got message that my Bravura Novus emits light -- but nothing after it!!
Question did i received that light or not!?

Bravura Novus equipped + Zodiac Glass in inventory

The message on screen said "(Your equipped Novus) emits xxx light"
So yeah you've got the light but you need to look at xxx.you can check it at your message log.

Look -
how can i look at feeble light and so on?
Is there a command for that?

Is' impossible to see how much light you've got total
This grinding is even more harder then atmas
