Urk... this is why you don't go on forums while half asleep. :p I'm sorry about that.

Its been... multiple days and multiple hours. NOT JUST ONE DAY. Also, if you miss coil thats a thing you can only do once a week, and something tahts harder to plan and coordinate if you have a group.
I'm sorry i can't miss 3-4 days in a row without it really affecting my group. I'm sorry that I'm not on the same schedule as you. Yeah i do have real life things to do and thats why these constant maints hurt. Once again, its about time. Where do I outright DEMAND COMPENSATION?
I make a suggestion as to how they can fix the issue. Two in fact- 1 being just give an extra day if it doesn't hurt or 2 either Accomplish more with their maints and make longer ones that are planned instead of out of the blue maints that take away time and can't be foreseen.
In other words, refuse to read other person's point, continue to press your own because its all you see. Great argument. At least you are being honest about not considering or even trying to get what I'm trying to say, so thank you for that at least.
As much as you might disagree with what you think my point is, or as much as you choose to just outright ignore it and make it out to be about somethings its not, I think all of my points are still valid in some way or another. If you choose not to even consider it thats fine.
With all due respect, while I might not agree with what you say, I at least consider it. Given the fact that you choose to respond in this way though, I think its probably better for me just to not even try to explain myself to you anymore, since its falling on deaf ears and is a waste of my time.
Thanks for your input though.
Again, i understand they need to take the game down for maints, but having 3-4 emergency maints spanning 4-8 hours each within a week's time is a bit much. You can't prepare for it, you can't just make up that time later on, and hey, its the same problem over, and over, and over, and over again. But if you insist on being closed minded and applying this thread in only the way that it works for you so you can talk down on me then go ahead.
This is what you are saying "We need to patch the game, what you don't like maintenance? It's part of making sure the game runs properly, stop demanding compensation, stop crying about an hour here or there lost its no big deal".
This is what I'm saying " I don't mind that they have maintenance, but the problem are these frequent emergency maints that they keep having just a few days apart from each other. It happens so often and lasts for such a long time fixing the same thing that I'm questioning whether or not SE is handling it efficiently. They need to either step their game up, or be more considerate and at least announce maint, or heck just let the players know that they realize they are taking away time in an inconsiderate manner. How to achieve that last one? Oh I have a suggestion- maybe give subscribers an extra day as a show of goodwill? They can consider it."
What you choose to take away from what I say-" He doesn't like maints, he's whining about an hour or two that he's lost and is demanding compensation. Unnanounced maints are totally not an issue, I mean, it doesn't affect me so it must not be a big deal.
I'm not demanding compensation, just offering it as a possible way for SE to show goodwill. If the maints aren't an issue to you, just take a look at all the crashing and data server errors we've been having as well on the side. Bottom line, something isn't being done right or square isn't working efficiently.
Thats the simplest and shortest way i can put things, if you choose to keep pushing your point (which i actually don't disagree with completely when it comes down to it, then thats fine.) It just isn't really hitting the points I'm talking about.
People are just stuck on the compensation part and knocking me down over it. I guess I should be happy some people are even attempting to read some of what I write at all instead of just assuming and going off on me lol.
I don't disagree with your points about maint, but there's a certain point to which you really have to stop and think if the maint itself is being done properly.
What other mmo do you know that has planned maint, followed by a string of 4-5 unannounced emergency maints within days of each that all together span over 20 hours a week?
Notice I said UNANNOUNCED EMERGENCY MAINTThe issue is the Unannounced and emergency maint part and how often it comes along. Take a look at the lodestone too, look at all that recovery news.
I understand your point, but do you mean to tell me you think SE is handling this in the best way possible? No problems with how they are doing things at all right?
If thats your stance then I don't argue with how you see things and how it applies to you.
As for me however, its a bit unrealistic and not up to par.
