My reaction while reading the elite B rank changes.
The respawn time of rank B elite marks has been changed to five seconds.
What?! Are they out of their minds now?!
The HP of rank B elite marks has been reduced so that they can be defeated by a single player.
*envisions a chaotic future, everyone standing around killing Bs over and over and over for quick seals, or even botting*
Oh god.
In conjunction with the above HP reduction, the minimum contribution required to complete elite mark bills has been lowered.
*reinforces said vision*
Rank B elite marks have been changed from aggressive to passive.
Huh.. why?
Rank B elite marks will no longer yield rewards upon defeat.
... ... ... ...Why did they leave this for the end?
*proceeds to feel stupid for overreacting*
I still hope you'll be able to buy from MB the items for the quest, not everyone is a crafter. :S
No, the crafting is optional to the main Ixal quests.
Has nothing to do with recognizing something. When I see someone dye their WHM Robe purple, it takes away from the iconic look of it. Not saying it should or shouldn't be allowed, but not everyone thinks the same way you do.
kind of dissappointed tbh was thinking we would get personal housing with this update
Well, as long as the Ixali don't ask me to craft 3-star items with all my crafting classes, I'm good. I liked the changes, thanks dev. team.
Your whole post made me chuckle, but I watched Skogs spawn next to the Moonfire Faire questgiver then proceed to molest a few AFK folks. The same happened in Lower near the cannons. Probably a change for the better, at least for Bs which are now basically just flavor mobs - yet are still lv50 in possibly low level zones.
Didn't yoshi specify that it was some "special" crafting as in, not crafting with your actual crafting jobs, but something to introduce crafting to more people?
So, if our chocobo's colour changes depending on what we feed it, that means there's only 6 colours we can choose from? ): Unless it's something like the colour will change again by feeding multiple foods, like something that makes it blue and red will then make it purple.
I'm really happy with the hunt changes. Those who like hunts as they are and getting their stuff quick haven't been screwed over, those of us who wanted to take part in it but don't want to join hunt parties can now (if I havent messed up my math, which is likely since Im sick) get 274 seals a week through hunt bills.
Im also happy the Lightning and Snow gear can be dyed. It's unique looking gear that lost it's...uniqueness, when everyone's looked the same. I avoid Lightning coat because since I use the hair and in pink I dont wanna look like I'm cosplaying Lightning (I was using the over the shoulder hairstyle in XI recoloured pink, Dijana was rocking this hairstyle long before Lightning came along ):< )

Going through the airship section made me want to go to the bathroom >.>
"bladder, double bladder, triple decker bladder, interior power bladder, decked sparkly bladder"
If we can actually have our own phased progression on the airship (or I guess as a server).. I'd be quite impressed. Nice to see crafters get some content~
I'm not a fan of how preformed alliances were implemented. From how it sounds, you can't enter as a partial group. You gotta go all or nothing.
I like the idea of the spiritbonding change but I feel like it needs better fine-tuning.
The example they gave stated that a level 49 ring would get reduced spiritbonding in LotA and Pharos. Correct me if I'm wrong, but both of these dungeons are "entry-level" dungeons when it comes to level 50 content (iirc their IL requirements are at 50 or pretty close to it). So why exactly is a level 49 ring deemed inappropriate gear for these dungeons? It sounds pretty close to being level appropriate to me. This is something they need to ease up on, I think, if that example is reflective of how the system works across the board. Sure, they might not be able to get in if all their gear was IL 49 and the dungeon required IL 50, but I thought that was why character IL was an average and not just "the lowest IL of all the gear you have equipped"; something that's a little bit under can be made up for via other slots.
I think another idea they should have considered would be to not gimp spiritbonding rates if it's a full premade group (which, due to the new addition of premade alliances, can also be applied to LotA/ST which are notorious for having blatant spiritbonders). The game obviously discerns between instances with parties that are premade and parties that have used the DF (you can replace people who leave in a DF party; you can't do so with people who leave a premade), and people shouldn't be punished for spiritbonding if that's specifically what they made the group for.
Lightning can dye the miqo'te outfit in FFXIII, only makes sense if we can dye Lightning's outfit in FFXIV
What I understand: there are two kind of daily quests from Ixal, the usual daily quests and one delivery quest.
The usual daily quests will involve crafting items, to craft items you don't need to be a DoH (either that or the requirement is lvl 1) and the items crafted wont be regular items, you will craft airship parts. So anyone, even non-crafters will be able to reach max rank with Ixal.Quote:
In addition to normal daily quests, players can also undertake delivery quests from the Ixal tribe. Three normal daily quests and one delivery quest will be available for each reputation rank every day (Earth time).
The delivery quest is a side optional system, it seems to work like GC supply missions, but instead of turning in one item you have to turn in several until you reach a quota, it doesn't mention anything about gaining reputation, so it seems to be just extra DoH exp, just like GC supply.
That's only a problem if you want to enter as two parties, the system will let you enter as one or three parties.
The alliance functionality setup is about as half-baked as I was expecting. Can't even use it for Frontlines.
Here's to hoping 2.38 expands more on it to allow partial alliances (and add Frontlines) and that it isn't that far off of an update.
how does one get that new mount cuz it dosent say how to get it
(Secretly hoping for a ninja ATMA nerf....)
