Compare FFXIV with the superior MMO, superior MMO didnt get content for a year now, FFXIV does every 3 Month, disscusion is over.

For the people who agree with him, Dungeons and Fates, this are two ways to level a 2nd class, and dungeons give even more EXP then leves, and dungeons are more fun than typical "Go there kill this talk to XXX" sidequests.

Here is a list for the OP:

1. Low Level Roulette (Daily Bonus)
2. Guildhest Roulette (Daily Bonus)
   NOTE: They made an adjustment to were every class you level now gets the bonus EXP for first time completion of a guildhest.
3. Leves (6 per day)
4. Beast Tribe Dailies (6 per day)
5. Hunting Log (Once per 10 levels)
6. Challenge Log (Weekly)
   NOTE: Bonuses for doing Dungeons, Fates, Guildhests, and Leaving Commendations
7. Fates (Repeatable)
   NOTE: As someone mentioned most can be solo'd, if its a boss fate spec your chocobo to compliment your class. I was farming fates last night as a Bard in Costa Del Sol with no one around, only fate I cant do "It's Not Lupus".
8. Dungeons (Repeatable)
   NOTE: Use Party Finder to find people looking to grind dungeons, select all languages in Duty Finder, select Join in progress as well

Some extra info:

Bonus EXP: There is a 50% bonus on all EXP but Quest Completion EXP once you get a single class level 50. There is food you can eat to get bonus to EXP. There are manuals you can use to give bonus EXP from the GC. Make sure you log out in a sanctuary so you can get the Rested EXP bonus every day. If you are in an FC ask if they can put up the "Heat of Battle" buff to get extra EXP as well. Ventures can be obtained through grand company seals. Turn In any green/pink items you don't need to the GC and get seals, do fates to get more seals, also there is an FC buff that nets you extra seals at turn in.

I have leveled all my DoW and DoM classes to Level 50 except Bard which i am currently working on and sit at lvl 35. I still have side quests left in Corethas. While side quests help, they are not very worth while because they do not benefit from the EXP bonuses mentioned above. Honestly the above content gives you a couple hours of play time a day (casual players) or gives you the ability to grind levels almost as fast as you want (hardcore). Like someone mentioned if they put in enough side quests to level every alt class to 50, the game would be loaded with pointless quests that eventually seem more mundane than everything else.

There is a lot of content you just have to know where to look. Also, ignoring "End Game Content" might be your problem as well. Getting a class to level 50 is really only the first 25% or less of the game for any given class. The real meat and potatoes of this game is meant for level 50 characters. Just so you know, the only end game content right now is Second Coil, everything else is spamable and used to go from lvl 50 (ilvl 50) to ilvl100/110. Heck you don't even need to do Second Coil to get to ilvl 110.

You can buy Ventures through your Grand Company at 5 per 1000 seals.

Anyway, the only things you got right in this entire rant are the DPS queue suckage and the fact that you do indeed run out of pre-50 quest content before you can cap all classes/jobs, no matter how long that takes you.

Considering they keep talking about the fact their subscriber base has grown, rather than shrunk- I think you may be wrong OP.

Creating more pre-50 quest chains is just a waste of resources for the low % of people that would actually do it. Levelling an alt class is far EASIER than levelling your first class- extra quests are not needed in the slightest.

I agree with the OP. The Problem with this game is content. if there numbers were growing why do you think they doing "free login campaigns"? easy their numbers are dwelling and they do not want to admit their errors because of their arrogance. This game was suppose to have an Expansion in 1 year. now we may never see it, at least not for one more year. also are we suppose to subscribe every 3 months? i can do that, Destiny arrives september 9 so i can desubscribe and move to destiny while they add new content finish it and desubscribe. thats the final fantasy xiv of today a game that lack content and do not motivate players. also the last couple of missions they added (10-20) storyline quest are done in a day easily so whats the point of subscribing past one month?

so far the content is repetitive and unfun, do this quests for x quests, then do this other quests. there is no real content, no new areas added and to make stuff worst it seems the expansion is related to Ishgard so no new areas just maybe a couple of missions with no real content. This game used to be so much fun and now is simply boring.

Yeah I can't agree with this... I've levelled all 3 class types starting with tank. I still have plenty of side quests on top of everything else they offer to level up. The only issue is queing for dungeons, but that's always an issue for DPS.

The topic title and the first post have me confused. What about adding pre-50 content would make the game more sustainable?

Not that I necessarily agree with the OP, but let's not forget a few things about the state of 2.0 at launch last year.

1) Dungeons were worth less exp.
2) No Low Level Roulette

During the OP's time during the first month, it was entirely possible to run out of quests to do getting your first class up to 50 if you didn't do every single FATE you crossed paths with. People always complained of the dry spell from 46-50 if I remember correctly, where the quest chains from Urianger every level only netted about half the exp to the next level and left you high and dry again, and it was FATEs or levequests or bust.

That being said, there is a simple solution for the OP, once that I rode from 2.1 to get all classes to 50 since launch (mostly. I am legacy, but my highest level prior to 2.0 was a level 19 lancer):

Low Level Dungeon Roulette.

Yes, the queue takes some long times to load for ranged DPS, especially if you're playing at off hours. But during that time, take your level 50 job and go do your six daily beastman quests. That alone should usually take up most of the time you would be spending in the low level dungeon queue.

And let's not exaggerate about the terribad groups that screw you over and waste your time. Yes, they happen, but they are rare unless you are the person who is making them fail. Through a few hundred levels of low level roulette, maybe 1 in 20 dungeons have enough failure in them to be a waste, and if only one person is screwing it all up, well, rarely does low level give you a dungeon higher than Haukke Manor - most can be tanked by DPS, or healed by THM (crossclass cure) or ACN, and you can easily deal with a derpy DPS, even if it might take a few more minutes.

Low Level Dungeon Roulette. Between the exp for monsters and the bonus XP at the end of the dungeon, it's like a level every day. Sure, you won't be able to max out all classes by the time your next 30 days is up, but you don't need all classes at 50 (unless you're a bit OCD like me) and if you do, it's a long term investment.

I've personally had no issue with the DPS queue as it is. If I'm spamming dungeons to level up, I find myself taking a break during queue time.

I'm only allowed to do 3 leves per day? Someone tell that to the Levemete that just took my 12 when I was working on my Archer today...

They should probably just make battle leves unlimited. Maybe reduce the gil reward or something. I have no interest in getting all my battle classes to 50 so it doesn't affect me at this point, but I've always thought it was a major problem. I'm not looking forward to leveling NIN as things currently stand.

I don't understand why they just don't double the xp gained via levee quest, and beef up the bonus xp, plus double the xp gain killing normal mob outside dungeons. With those fix, people should not complaint anymore since they can get some xp while waiting for dungeon queue. It's simple and effective.

I have everything leveled to 50 and it wasn't so bad at all. Leveling battle classes without questing is still a lot better than leveling a gatherer. I am actually looking forward to burning through leves with rogue class, and I can do other things while I wait for dungeon queues.

Pre 50 contents you have plenty stuff to level up with.
- leves. fate, low level roulette, guildhests, Daily quests can keep go on.

They just play their favorite class. Casually. This is why it was explicitly stated that pre-50 levels will get nothing special for them going forward.

And those who "wants to be the best" - they are already somewhat dedicated and can pass through as second class, as there are a number of way to crawl to 50 without much hassle, and daily low level roulette is one of the most popular.

Well, this game doesn't cater to Soloist or Casuals ...

In a small Group of 2-3, Duty or Party Finder, less waiting time etc etc,
Whilst being a Solo DPS, u queue like 20 - 40mins for any game or search party finder
Longest wait I had was 3hrs for CT and whilst waiting I had a 2hr nap... amazing.

Plus most of us pay subscription NOT to wait 20 - 40 mins on DF... (except tanks or healers)

Game isn't dead juz that more ppl use PF than DF, leaving frustrations to Solo/Casual players without any purpose.

We pay subscription to enjoy/destroy monsters/craft/fish etc,
and NOT mindless grind or long wait on DF.
