I used the ":P" to keep my post light-hearted, so I didn't come off as being serious and correcting you sternly like it was a big deal. I'm sorry it came off that I was teasing you, though genuinely I didn't mean to poke fun or tease you, I just wanted to be informative without coming off haughtily. So, again, I apologize if my post came off as teasing you. I realize the information I was giving isn't super common, so I thought the ":P" would prevent me from coming off as "Omg you should know this *dramatic eye roll.*"
I meant in the real world. In the real world a man would generally not wear a yukata that short. Generally for something short men would just wear jinbei, and even then jinbeis traditionally end around the knee.
