SE need to cut off support for the PS3 ASAP and just let the PS4 and PC counterparts flourish.

no modern game should even be released unless this was in place. with recent mistakes like hunts... I think SE is stuck back in 11 mind set of bad gameplay and poor quality.

not only do we need 2 tone dying but we need varying potencies of dye from light to dark to exceptional...like rift has currently.

I'd like to see a more robust color changing system.

My idea is a bit complicated, but fun I think. I'd like to see "dyes" made by certain jobs affect relevant parts of gear. For example, dyes made by weavers should dye fabric portions of gear, & dyes made by leather-workers should dye leather portions of gear. Further, I'd like to see blacksmiths, armorers, and goldsmiths get "plating" instead of dyes. So blacksmiths, armorers, and goldsmiths would be able to "plate" relevant parts of gear various metals, like gold, silver, bronze, chrome, etc. But you might want some metal to be black or red, right? That is where the alchemist comes in. Alchemists wouldn't dye or plate things. Alchemists make 2 colorants; a thing that anodizes metals, and a thing that adds highlights (or maybe patterns) to fabric or leather. Oh, and carpenters "stain" wood.

On a side note, a separate idea I also had was to give a colorant thing to the culinarian; where a colorant could be added to food to temporally give a PC a diffent skin color, pattern (like dots or stripes), or even a glow. For entertainment reasons.

In this day and age, for any MMO to not take into account the fact that the playerbase always, always wants to be able to make themselves unique when compared to everyone else.... I cant fathom it

No one wants to be "Warrior in black DL set #1,453,825", they want to be "That cool Warrior in the Royal Purple and Gold trimmed plate with the pulsing red axe of doom".

Character customization should always be a top priority, and yet always seems to get forgotten somehow...... then if its patched in... its usually half-moogled at best and never as good as it could have been if they had simply planned for it at the start.

Thats one of the things I do like about ArcheAge atm is the skin patterns you can have on your characters.....

They said they plan to have more character-data available for the expansion... hopefully means we can get duo-tones.

I wouldn't mind being able to dye the main part of the Spring Dress set. It would've been perfect for me, but I pretty much demand a majority honey yellow.

If that is the case then it would at least be nicer to have all of a set dyed similar colours based on the dye you chose. Example, the augmented WHM robe, or Lightning gear. If you dye them say, green, it dyes the main part the colour of the dye you used, and the secondary parts a lighter or darker green. That way dying things like Sailor Shirts would at least be less clashy.

I don't see that as a problem. DCUO has quite a complex costume coloring system that you can use up to three different colors for coloring various parts of the suits, using from one to three different colors on each article of clothing. Way more complex than we have here,, and it works quite well on the PS3.
