Whether it is faster or slower pretty much depends on the individual however.
- Faster if part of a greater Hunt community.
- Slower if soloing
The rewards are meant for people with time to do either Dungeons or Hunts but not both.
All the hunts rewards should be nerfed

I was that guy who, after getting all of my DL pieces and waiting for the weekly 300 tome reset (which went directly to my relic +1 weapon, oh yeah I said it, before zenith) would farm the crap out of CM runs just because I was selling philo crafting mats for 30-40k a pop to shouters in Mor Dhona.
Yeah, for all of you who weren't around, I was selling Potash and Animal Fat for 30-40k each. Vanya/Gryphonskin sold every once in a while to people that were selling Titan HM runs (on my server at least), but URRRRBODY wanted to try and make it so I would do my runs and make 100k's a day off that stuff lol.

I spam relic quest fights for myth. Almost always a new person in the group so you get the bonus. Fast ques and fights only take like 10min.
The only reason I agree with OP is for anyone leveling alts/new players. The past few days, I've been trying to level my Bard, and que wait times are bad enough. Now with most people not queing for dungeons, that wait time has increased threefold.
But that's the ONLY reason I agree with OP.
Hunts have unbalanced rewards in their current form. There are way too many people doing hunts, and the community is suffering from it.
Plus you can spend allied seals to get the myth gear at a much cheaper rate. "BUT WAIT!, allied seals are for sand/oil/alexandrite"
SE made a huge mistake by including myth and soldiery rewards in the hunt. It's too sweet a deal pass up, there in no reason to participate in other content because hunts cover all of it.
The servers are saturated with ranged DPS .
Try it with a melee ^^
Maybe with 2.4 it get better for ranged DPS for the first 3 weeks.
Not many players would waste myths on myth gear anyway.
You can farm ilevel 80 in CT1 and the new dungeons and start to get ilevel 100 from CT2 and sold tomes. Nobody need ilevel 90 gear.
Best way to spend myths is for relict upgrade or buying myth mats to sell the mats for gil.
They could at least offer sands/oil to be obtained by other means.....maybe 2k myth per sand. I'm surprised you can't get them through PvP seeing how big of a deal Frontlines is.
I like variety. Some times you can great a lot of rewards per hour during hunts. Other times dungeons and their constant pace outweigh it. Hunts are a gamble. Sometimes it pays, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, I like having the OPTION to choose how I want to cap for the week.
Also I think 20,000 wolf marks would be a great way to get sands/oils of time. Maybe 15,000 for one and 20,000 for the other.
I keep hearing people saying that Hunt is high stress.
Really? I think I have more stress in the workplace than in this game, IDK where the stress come from in FFXIV. I think going into DF and deal with certain type of players have more "stress" than a brainless job of teleporting/combing areas and zerging a poor mob down.
Well, if they're going to change it, they have to do it soon.
Otherwise, all they're doing is rewarding the people who created the problem in the first place, and then making it so that those of us who chose not to grind Hunts for hours on end can't catch up easily.
If they're going to adjust it, do it now.
Or they should make a statement saying that it's staying the way it is so that we can end this conversation finally.
Holy wow! So, with the emergency server maintenance this morning, all the marks reset. When the servers came back up, I got into a group that went around and killed 12 A-rank marks, getting full credit each time. It took less than 30 minutes, and we made 240 Sold, 960 Myth, and 240 Allied Seals. In under 30 minutes.
I wasn't part of a Hunt LS, I spent no effort with timings or spawn locations or anything. I just followed the horde around. When the mark was pulled by someone else, I spammed my 1-2-3 combo on it until it died. Minimal effort, minimal time investment, minimal skill required, incredible rewards.
The only people who say the rewards are balanced are the people who don't want this gravy train to end. Personally, I wouldn't do Hunts at all because I don't like the rushing around, but the rewards are just too good and the effort required is just too little not to do them and nothing else.
I'm spending more effort trying to decide if I want to spend my seals on Sands or vanity gear (and if I want to change GCs to get different vanity gear) than I ever have getting the seals. This is like money raining from the sky.
And now there's a 3-5 hour window before they respawn. So you're saying 240 Sold, 960 Myth, and 240 Allied Seals in 3-5 hours is somehow....too fast? I will never understand you people.
That will likely never happen without maintenance. It is far too difficult to down all hunts in the window that they spawn. It takes extreme coordination and a small population for that to happen on a regular basis.
hmmm.. don't remove Myth... myth is the main source of gil for covering teleport cost while hunting...
for soldiery I think... this one must be removed , so people will start back spam dungeon / coil / ST / PVP for soldi +___+...
They need to remove Myths, Soldieries, Sands, and Oils as rewards.
Just set all rewards equal to the minimum participation rewards we currently have. On an A rank, everyone who at least hits it gets 2 seals, 8 myth, 2 sold. Problem solved.
I wish I didn't have to work and could have been there for reset. >.>. <.<

They can still turn it around, people who are exploiting it now will /cry and maybe /wrist a little but it's better for the games health if they balance hunt rewards around other content in the game.
