I don't think the Frontline hype is dead it's just that people are spamming hunts all day. If Square gave 300 allied seals for 1st place 200 seals for 2nd place and 100 allied seals for 3rd place more players would play Frontlines.
Fair enough. But i'd like to not sit in que for 30+ minutes waiting on a 72 person match that isnt going to pop. I've yet to see any downscaling :/
and an update, friend left the que after this. got tired of waiting.

p.s. maybe it's just twin adders cause everyone seems to have jumped ship to Maelstrom. :[
Frontlines wait times are insane, especially for full parties. SE needs to deincentivize hunts and create more reason to pvp.
As it is now, Frontline is totally inaccessible to premades, and encourages fast farming with party-in-progress queues. There's no social aspect engaged anymore, all the PvP linkshells I've joined have all but gone silent, and no one in their right mind would ever queue with a party if they wanted to enter an instance during their lifetime. Please fix this broken system, SE!
What makes me furious is my partner and I (same Grand Company) queue separately (in progress) and she gets almost instant queue pops and I can wait over half an hour at a time. She goes in as bard, all the time. I can queue as a scholar or a Black mage, and I wait. ANd wait. She can get 2-3 rounds in before the queue pops for me.
I queue before she does.
What the heck, guys?
This keeps happening to me and i see it happen to other people too.
There are several causes probably, but the worst one is the bad queue system they have, which they haven't gone to the trouble of improving since the game launched almost one year ago....
Today i actually got a pop, and at the end of the timer at 66/72, the system sent me the message "Your registration has been withdrawn." GG SE.
This smells to A frontlines having the stupid rank system for matchmaking or B the stupid GC restrictions making the que way more long.....
Also yh the system is slow to act and make small groups for fl when the que wont pop.
More 90 minute queue times today for me.
My friends (Flames) and I (Maelstorm) have a different GC. And they get queues very fast, because half of our server is (Maestorm). Just take off the GC restrictions and make duty finder randomly selects a team for you. As a result, longer queue times will alleviate + friends and fc could actually play together.
Today is a weekend + free login. And yet, queue takes an hour. Come on this is not acceptable.
I've never waited for more than 10 minutes. Sometimes my team has like 10 people though lol.
My Maelstrom party has been waiting around 74 minutes now. This was after three previous wins where Adders and Flames had no chance of victory~
Wait time was 100 mins till now, and yet it did not pop. As a result, I canceled it. Not satisfied at all.
Back to the past.
Wolves' den matchmaking is the same.
Hunt kills any content. Just check your party finder, LF hunting party and any group to t6 or t7.
Queue times on Phoenix as Twin Adder are absolutely disgusting. 30+ minutes of waiting for a match during prime time, while my FC friends get istant queue as Maelstrom.
I understand you wanted to respect the lore of the game somehow, but you need a system that allow us to join a game regardless of factions, otherwise this issue will just get worse with time.
I understand your frustration. But Keep in mind it is still in the A.M and majority of the subscribers are employed; that will offset ques. Also keep in mind that last weekend was "F2P Weekend."
Phoenix is a EU server, it's almost 18 PM here and the guys from Maelstrom in my FC are getting 2-3 mins queue while i just shut down the game in anger after 43 minutes of waiting.
It may be a case of the Rank auto-balance system used in Wolf's Den being used in Frontlines and trying to get the each Party and Alliance's average rank to within 3. Players with Ranks around 30+ might have problems if the average Rank is 15 and there are few to no Rank 1 players queuing due to Ranking up. This would also explain why Premades are having problems as their average Rank could be far higher than the Frontline average rank.
Okay, I speak to harsh before an I apologize. It was my mistake and I admit... Selecting language will DEFINITELY change the queue status... You must select JEDF in order for you to queue... Thanks and have a great one
I only have ENG selected, and my queue times are a "whopping" 2-5 minutes. Unless everyone complaining is not using ENG and is only using one other language checked OR there's some sort of bug with the language check system for queuing that only effects certain people, then it is not the language checks that are causing the problem.
If it does fix the problem, however, then I'd definitely believe it a selective bug, as mentioned before.
If you think this is a bug, you can try to report it to bug fourm, but in the main time, did you try to select all languages first to see how is your que time? You need to keep it in mind, FF14 is a cross platforms with multile language client. I am playing on NA servers but I am using a JP client.
All of those queue time (60+ mins and above) were selected by all the languages. Every single language was always selected.
If you re in the maelstrom the queues got insanely long. 30 mins average for a pop, kinda meh
I'd be a bad choice to report the supposed bug, because I'm not experiencing the issue. As said above, I only have ENG selected and my queues couldn't be better. The bug, if it is a bug, is likely selective, meaning that it is not universal and only effects certain players under certain circumstances. Hell, there may even be more than one bug, too. I can't say with any level of surety what's going on with the queues other than the fact that something's not right. There's no reason some people would have consistently outrageous queue times while others on the same server in the same GC with the same class with the same languages checked are getting queue times about 1/15'th as long if everything were working properly.
I really dont get what do you expect from this and you are pretty much just ranting. If you think you are experening an issue that does not imply to many others, report it to bug fourm. I even nice enough to obtain the two templates may relate to this issue:

Sumbit the report and see what tech support says about it. Stop ratning, that is same for afa0314, but his case is more like Malestorm being too popular .
I don't think you understand. I have no issue. I'm not experiencing any bug with queue times. Others are. I'm not in this thread because I'm experiencing the problem. I'm in this thread to explain that this problem seems to be a bug and explain why it seems that way in order to hopefully spur the people who are experiencing the bug into action all the while giving them potentially useful information that they can add to their bug reports. It's the same reason you're posting here, now that I think about it. I'm just trying to spur them into action indirectly, where as you're directly telling them to report it. Same thing, different words.
So, I'm not ranting (well, excluding this post, I guess), I'm contributing to the conversation.
