Nope. Then you have just as many people spamming Tower as they are doing Hunts. And in the end, you have people⦠logging in to get gear.
The exact opposite of what you want.

I know this is an old thread but I just gotta say this. This has got to be one of the stupidest, most selfish and shortsighted suggestions I have ever seen on this forum, and that is saying A LOT. This is the "give me free stuff" mentality at its finest. This is an attestation to the fact that you can NEVER satisfy people, no matter how much you give them, it will only prompt them to ask for more.
The only major thing wrong with Syrcus Tower is that since it is very long and very easy, it gets REALLY tedious and boring after a few weeks. I almost feel like it should drop nothing of value so I don't have to feel compelled to do it every week. Making oil have a chance to drop off every boss could alleviate this problem but there are problems with this as well, other than the fact that it wold make oil even easier to get than it already is:
1) This would increase the instances of people leaving after the first few bosses. This usually isn't TOO bad since replacing people who leave don't take very long; however, if oil have a chance of dropping from every boss, the chances of people "queuing in progress" would also decrease.
2) Not everyone is there for oil and tomestome. For these people, this suggestion changes nothing.
Overall, making oil have a chance to drop off every boss could be a good suggestion but making it not be part of the weekly lock out is absolutely retarded, maybe even more retarded than the HUNT system.
In the OP's defense, this thread was partially started as a snide retort to another thread that was titled something like "Hunts were a terrible/irresponsible idea..." ---- where the gist of the other thread was that making Sands/Oils/Myth/Soldiery all obtainable through Hunts was making it so no one would run other content (outside of SCoB) since they could get everything they needed in one place.
