What mounts would you like to see?

Doomtrain - The choochoo train that lets your FC travel across a portion of Thanalan.

Visually, eh, there are a lot of things but I mostly just use the roulette unless my company chocobo is already out. Mostly I want them to add variety in mounts as someone else suggested. Faster mounts, perhaps that flee if you get hit as a trade off. Slower mounts that are immune to heavy, mounts that can sprint/ become invincible/ become invisible, gliding and/ or truly flying mounts, etc. I'm sure there are many more interesting things that could be done beyond essentially reskinning the one mount that we have.

They already stated a long time ago they have no plans to give some mounts special abilities like being faster because then those would be the only ones used. Different mounts are just for vanity.

Ok so I'm probably going to get shot for this idea...but in WoW (yea I know shoot me, I played wow) there were racial specific mounts (and a few class specific mounts as well).

I would like to see more rare/unique mounts that were obtainable in the manner that the war bear or war lion are now. Mounts that act as status symbols for players who are dedicated to a certain class (an no I don't have my war bear yet). Would also be nice if these hard to obtain mounts had a slightly higher movement speed than regular mounts. Perhaps something as small at 110-120% movement speed of normal mounts.

Most anything that's not a horse really ^_^.

I mean, come on, chocobo's have always basically been the horse of Final Fantasy. Actual horses just seem weird.. XD

Before new mounts I'd like for the current to actually get some unique music to each instead of the same old tired tune. After that... something that isn't just a reskinned horse.

^This. Given the fact that the Fat Chocobo mount has a unique BGM (Fat Chocobo's Appearence from FFIV), it's highly likely new mounts in the future will indeed have unique background music. You can only tolerate Rider's Boon so much....

There are actually like 4 different themes (Chocobo, CommonMonster, CoolMount, RChocobo). I think I've only heard 3 of them though.
