But there were no other retainers in the ward (Tradescraft) at the time. Will try again. It may just be a horrible lag.

Yeah, I'm able to get to character selection too now, but like you, it stops there lol.

Just got a crash in Grid... probably server instability in general (or, hopefully not, a major problem that needs addressing)

Hell yea.... I saw Reika going towards the ferry Docks too.. and then BAM....

I played for about an hour. Went all over the place. Didn't crash once. Guess I was lucky.

I think it's because there haven't been this many people in game for a long time. The servers forgot how to handle more than 500 people.

I'm sure most people who have any kind of substantial experience with MMOs know that crashes or glitches after a patch (especially a major one as this) are prone to happen.

It sucks, but it's by far nothing new nor out of the ordinary for MMOs in general, FFXIV or otherwise.

They'll identify the problem, fix the issues, apply the patches in an emergency maintenance and things will be fixed. Life will go on. The sun will rise again.

I've d/c'd twice while teleporting, you lose your anima and log in where you were before. Totally lame.

I can't even get past the loading screen that shows up after the Title Screen appears. I spent the day playing Fable III, until the patch was finished, and yesterday poking around on World of Warcraft. Suppose I'll go back and play that for awhile until the servers are stable again.

Figaro is down. Got DC'ed in Grid. Can't log back in. Also the whole application crashes back to the desktop.

Are you guys actually crashing (eg program closes with windows error or other error message prompt) or is the game just DCing you with a lost connection/misc server message?

I'm still updating, just finished installing Windows7x64 on a SSD along with the game. :D

Either way, these things happen and it'll be fixed, try and remain calm guys.

I'm either stuck at the LL grand companies instance or bloodshore where I was warping to... I get DC'd immediately after clear the Player Login Queue of: 1 player....

My alt in Uldah has a login queue place of 109... wtf

The queue has been in place for a LOOOONG time... just havn't seen it come up since after the first two months.

just did a levequest to test how many sp per leve and planned to teleport back in town to buy some dark matts... now d/c, anima's gone, still in the camp, cannot login anymore...

I've had "Place in Login Queue: 1" for over an hour now. Doesn't ever change.

Well they are investigating the problem now...

*sings* 20 Game Errors, 12 TIMESOUTS, 3 In-game errors, and onneee broken gameeeee!

ive been number one in the login que 7 times and kicked after each one. :)

I'm constantly listed as #1 in the queue. I think it depends on what area you're trapped in (LL companies area for me). And yeah I've been kicked out every time. My ul'dah mules are 129 in the queue lol.

I thought the point of delaying the patch was for more time to FIX the bugs... seems like they would have done better to delay it by a couple more... ><'

Funny how some people apparently managed to kill the final boss in the R50 dungeon, all while people cant even log in or out and are constantly dcing...

On the 12th post-update hour my server gave to meeee:

11 server timeouts
10 crash to desktops
9 failed behests
8 login: 1 cues
7 random glitches
6 people whining
FIIIIIVE red dot riiiings
4 SP per leve
3 gil for behest
2 MP run-outs
And an instanced raid no one can dooooooo
