Not being able to quick synthesis dyes.
the fact I can't /pet my choco :(
Using an off GCD skill and casting a spell afterwards just to have it canceled ( > . >
summoners(and to some extent scholars), 90% of them are just freaking bad. so bad that i cringe when i get a smn in my PT especially Ex primals. constantly letting their dots drop, not managing their pets at all, never using eye/virus/shadow flare to help mitigate dmg. never using Bane and if they do they misfire it and dont spread all of their dots. if scholar, not using any macros and letting their pets just arbitrarily burn their CD's at the start of a pull. running out of MP because they arent rotating aether/energy drain. and just all around bad stuff
this coming from someone who has played sch/smn since early access.
please summoners, step your game up. you are making us all look bad because you cant refresh 3 spells every 30 seconds and make sure your pet is attacking the right target. you are in an "expert" dungeon, try to act like it
People who can't detect sarcasm.
I was in a Titan HM run, and another DRG was saying it was his first time and that someone should carry him. This was obviously a joke, because the dude had pretty good gear and an Allagan spear.
I said something to the effect of "Oh yeah, because with your gear that's believable =p", and one of the tanks thought I was being genuine.
Just jealous of our awesome /sit command. Perch on ALL the things!
The constant complaining about atmas. There are PLENTY of alternatives, and you don't need to constantly keep your weapon up to date. Get an alternative and just casually work on your atma if you hate it so much.
Not sure if you know this, but there is a /ft option you can macro. It makes your character "face the target" but it will also follow it as it moves, up to the point where the tank could literally run circles around you and you won't have your cast canceled. If you're using a controller or playing on a console, it's even easier. Go to System Config, something about Controller options (don't have the game open, I don't know the exact wording), the look for Controller Configuration>Begin. Select either L3 or R3 and you can replace it's current setting with Focus Target, so you simply have to click in L3 when you want to do it.
I replaced my L3's defauly Draw/Sheathe/Lock on with Focus Target, and R3's default First Person mode with just Draw/Sheathe because I never use lock on.
Hope it helps! Someone told me about this recently and it completely changed BLM for me.
Honestly, I much prefer the character models of Miqo'tes and a lot of their emotes, but I can't stand the ears and tail >.>
I can understand the tail (though I love mine), but the ears? Oh god they make or break a lot of the emotes! Whenever you do a happy emote, the ears wiggle happily, and if you /cry, they droop down. Ugh, it's so adorable. The ears are the best part!
-And just so I stay on topic, people selling things through Party Finder. Don't clutter the menu because you're too lazy to shout or sell something on the board!
That bugs me as well. 90% of the things in the PF are either people looking for a new member in their static, Atma farming (which is a legitimate thing to put in the PF, but since I've given on on Atma I wish I could never see it again! ^^), or buying/selling myth tomes or some such. I know there aren't a limited number of spaces in the PF, but it's annoying opening it, seeing so much and thinking there's stuff to do, to scroll through it all and find out there's really only 2 groups doing content, and you're unable to join them for what ever reason.

As of currently? In the short time that i have been playing.
Tanks and healers who bail at the start of a dungeon that they got using the low-level dungeon roulette function.
In my opinion people who bail because they don't like the random they got should face a harsh punishment. If they still need to do the daily have it stripped from them for the day and make the next run they do offer no reward period. And make it only expire when they do said run. But i'm sure i'm one of the few who feel this because tanks and healers are special little flowers who deserve to be treated like kings/queens even if a steaming pile of malboro crap has a better attitude then them.
DPS que times, not being able to reset my chocobo skill points, ppl constantly spamming the manderville, retaining ventures only bringing furniture or fish, having to swap classes to use repair function...
always bug me how even though they have those lounge chairs by the beach. The ones in costa del sol and The mist, you can't actually lay in them. Same goes for the beds in the FC houses. Why can't we lay in those? Also were is our chair to set in while fishing?
Little things that tend to annoy me:
- How when harvesting or mining it's a XX% PER swing success, and sometimes you just get the @$$ end of it and fail all attempts /sigh.
- How you lose the shine of armor when you dye it (though I've heard that they are addressing this).
- How an eye-patch can give more accuracy.
- How my macros or HUD doesn't follow me to my other characters that are on the same account (I'm sure it's been brought up to the devs). (don't ask why I have characters, just go with it)
- There's a chocobo station at Costa del Sol, but you can't get to it from Limsa Lominsa. You can get to Costa del Sol by boat from Limsa via Fisherman's Butt (bottom).
- How 25 yalms for a BRD doesn't SEEM like the same distance as 25 yalms for BLM (just my opinion).
- How bucket-head armor (the once piece for body and head for pld/mrd), the head doesn't move so some scenes it just looks like you're standing there even though you're supposed to be nodding or shaking your head or whatever (yea it's been brought up to the devs).
- How Camp Bluefog, the leves there are level 40 but the monsters around that area are 49. ???
- Food bonuses for lower leveled foods...oftentimes only giving 2-3 points. Which in theory could put you over the line, but is it really noticable...probably not.
I'll not get into the human aspect of things. I'm sure there are more but I'll just end them there. These aren't game breaking but just little things that make me go hrm... or wtf?
If you're typing in chat as your synth completes it knocks you out of chat and starts opening all the short cuts for the keys you are trying to type with.
Negative statuses like stun, sleep, and slow build up resistance on enemies. They don't last any time anyway, and with this, I don't see any reason to ever put statuses on things.
The status ailment Heavy, to the nth degree.
I wanna slap whoever thought that ailment was a good idea.
I do it all the time because the game lets me. I don't give a shit about youtube videos, I learn fights from doing them. I guess im old school but the end game screams boring. But this community has alot of ppl just like you in it so im sure they love watching the youtubes and knowing everything before even doing anything. That just doesn't sound fun to me lol.
My need to max all crafting and gathering before I continue with regular progression.
I am so far behind guys.
I just wanted to meekly point out that we healers aren't all that way! I've never bailed on a group or acted like I believed myself to be a special little snowflake. Though, with all the griping I hear about stuck-up Healers, I'm starting to -feel- like a special snowflake... Irony? X3
I'd say the biggest "little" thing that bothers me, is the chocobo riding music. They've given us the option to just turn mount music off, which is nice, but I'm one of those odd-balls who miss the old 1.0 rental chocobo music, and wish we had an option to have that play instead of the current personal chocobo music. It's just too... "obnoxious" to me with the blaring brass.
(I will give them credit for NOT using the same chocobo theme, or the generic "everything else" mount music that started with the Goobbue, when they released the Fat Chocobo. Haven't had the honor of the Behemoth mount yet, but...)
-Gil spammers. I loathe them.
-Tanks that have horrible attitudes and/or don't pull appropriately to what they/the DPS/healer can manage
-Getting into a dungeon/primal/Coil and wiping once or twice, and then all of a sudden people are dropping or voting abandon. Drives me crazy, esp. when I'm on one of my DPS roles
If a target dies while I'm still casting on it, I wish my spell would auto cancel itself.
And when I hit esc to skip a cutscene, I wish the game immediately pause loading and let me skip faster.
