So you want an ATMA weapon? A casual guide to success!

Here's what I'm doing for Atma/Animus:
1. Don't do Atma and get other easily available weapons. War relic is mediocre anyways.
2. Spend all myth on materials and sell for gil while they still retain value because of so many players putting their myth towards animus.
3. Be happier with life.

I guarantee you will spend more time farming the 13k myth/completing the books than you will farming the atma fates themselves

nobody forces you to mindlessly spam dungeons, your book will not be erased if you don't buy the next one. you can do differents dungeon, roulette, tribal quest, treasure maps, Coil. It takes time? ofcourse that what games are, a time sink.
the only issue players might have with myth farming is the 2k total cap when they are farming atmas because they can't save them and have to spend them on something they might not really care.

I'm sorry, but right off the bat I can't take your advice. Your first step was limiting yourself to farming 2 hours a night before stopping to do something else?

Seriously? I only get MAYBE 5 hours a day to do whatever I feel like doing, including gaming, eating, showering, socializing, being with family/friends, watching shows, etc.

I can't fit in 2 hours every night on the game to mindlessly grind and then stop so I can actually play the game. The idea that you also did nothing BUT atma grind is just...why? Why would you even do that? The weapon simply isn't that valuable and nothing in the game right now needs it. You could be playing with friends, running dungeons, raids, crafting, or anything else actually involved in playing the game.

Maybe I just don't get it. I just can't see a reason to spend that kind of time into one minor little aspect of the game that will be worthless after the next major patch anyway.

My first atma dropped when I was doing Odin, and the second one dropped after 30m of farming. Now after 3hours + of farming the same zone and ot seeing any atma dropping I'm simply stopping this. I will only get my atma/animus weapon when they'll make it easier to get atmas. I don't mind having to farm 1500myth x9, because you are doing "something". Right now I'm farming and it seems like i'm waiting for the best and working towards nothing. I'd rather spend my time doing those fates with my low level classes or even keep my soldiery tokens to get a Gerolt weapon and work with my static to upgrade it 110. We need to have RNG somewhere in any MMO (loots), but not like this. I love this game, I really do. But It's not cool to make something hard/long to obtain only because it's pure random. I seriously hope they'll will not add something similar in the future :/

My advice: Do Atma's when you feel like it or just casually do a FATE here and there.
Simple enough. o.o

Luxx > That's why I'm doing, fates during queue times or when I got nothing to do. 2 atma so far since 2.2 :D
