No it won't be in 1.18.

Mention of it on the lodestone is only because of its proximity and relation to the Dzemel Darkhold.

Do you say that about everything you consider boring to read? Have you ever been to a school in your life? Forced to read plenty of things that one might consider boring there.

I read it because there was the off chance that there would be something of value in the news report. I would have gladly read a summarized version if one was available.

there are summarised versions in the patch notes, the point of the articles are for people who like the in character feel and news reports, so they want it nice and wordy

Ya! TBH, I haven't read though any of these update things they post about the companies. I just wait for you guys on the forum to discuss it, and if I see you say something interesting, I'll go skim it over hehe

So you tell all of your teachers that the books they make you read are boring and wordy?

Not only that, but this is a game, not school. You should have known at a glance whether the post was personally worth it for you to read.

Would be cool if one of the Maelstroms missions actually takes you into Ishgard. That seems to me what this is hinting at. Even if it is just in a cut scene to see what Ishgard looks like inside i would be happy. Would be happier though if it lets us walk around a bit and complete a mission there before kicking us back out.

Did I go up to Yoshida's face and tell him that his news article is boring (or whoever wrote it up)? The distinction is irrelevant either way, whether it's compulsory or not doesn't change the fact that you aren't going to know the content of a wall of text just by glancing at it. I was hoping to come out of reading the article with something interesting and that didn't happen.
