On the topic of Lightning Strikes.

You waited... therefore you missed the limited time stuff. :( But I will wish they just add the weapons, gear, and hair at some point in the future just to make those who missed out happy.

People just seriously don't understand "one time event" (technically two, but you get my drift) and "no".

Did you participate in the event and get the equipment/cosmetics?

Alright, I've compiled the feedback on this thread, and it's amazing! Thank you for the responses, though some of you could have been a lot less crass about it. :/

I get why they don't want to run the event again, I was overzealous in praising the 'Event' itself, though, why not make the rewards from the event available? Not to ALL, I'm not expecting SE to just send everybody everything in the mail. Make it craftable, or questable, or something, I don't know.

I got a little excited in the opening post, I'm just feeling a little miffed that SE is being so stingy with bloody hairstyles.

I'm sorry I got a little into it with some of you.

The event can be dead and gone, fine.

Let's make the rewards available somehow, somewhere. Not hand them out, but like, a Vet reward, or a low drop from Coils.

i alredy said it just make it untrust worthy that they have back down from what they have promised, and this game run on promises and they delivered within the promises up till now, if they back down and gave this, that promise will be a lie.

they already stated is a limited event for the Launch of JP & NA/EU, wont be happening ever again. bringing it back will break their promises about it. THAT IS WHY i say is limited and get over it over and over. But you dont seems to understand anything about it at all.

What on earth are you talking about?

CT loot lockout was always going to be removed.
Myth cap was always going to be abolished when Soldiery came in.
And they didn't? People have bitched and cried on here non stop about Atmas and they've still basically said suck it up, we aren't nerfing it yet.

I'm starting to wonder if this was a troll thread all along, because if it wasn't, your mind doesn't seem all there.

So do you think Yoshida is going to say "Oh man, Drakezel wants the Lightning Strikes event back a 3rd time, I need to talk to XIII's producer/director immediately and get this thing approved!"?

If you truly think that will happen, a small ego check is in order, friend.

I know this doesn't cover everyone who waited for the PS4 edition, but anyone who had a PS3 had the option to buy the PS3 edition of the game and experience the Lightning Strikes event, and then when the PS4 edition released (which was a while after the system released), get the PS4 edition for no additional cost.

As far as "thinning the divide", I don't think the divide is quite that big, given the PS3 had already been out for so long; we're not exactly talking about a limited demographic when it comes to people who had a chance to experience ARR and Lightning Strikes before the edition they were really waiting for came out. Even if they ran the event one more time, there will inevitably be more PC/PS3/PS4 players who will join the game after -that- run, who will have not had a chance at it, and by the same logic will deserve yet another re-run.

This doesn't seem to offer much persuasive reasoning either; that essentially boils down to "I want this to happen so that when it does, I can point at it and say 'I did that'!" where did you even get the idea that atma was easier/going to be easier? that was one of the first things that was talked about. its not getting touched.

And some of us did the set once the first time, then made a brand new character and leveled it up to 45 to get the set again before the second event was over. Heck, I went from level 22 (2nd event start) to 45 before the event ended and claimed the remaining items I missed the 1st time. Wasn't particularly hard or difficult or even time consuming :/ Story mode quests and saved exploration for the last push from 40-45. if you save zone/area exploration as best you can until the 30's you get about 20k each explored area and a nice completion bonus when you finish the zone.

Sorry you missed out but they did have the event twice.

yes, i do. my question is in regards to you thinking a change had been done/was in the works, when one isnt. will a change happen? most likely, but for the time being, no change has been made to make getting atma easier. so my question still stands.

ot, making limited time items available to everyone regardless of if they completed the quests to get said items is stupid, and pretty much invalidates any work that people who did the quests did. just like the cactuar and bomb earings, limited items should stay just that; limited.

I really hope it eventually makes a return. I joined back in February when the game went on sale, and despite all of my hard work, I was one hour short of getting the final (body) piece and seeing the FATE for it. So much disappoint.

Lightning sucks and I hope to God we never see her again in FFXIV.

I would have liked a Tidus/Yuna FFX/X-2 HD Remaster Event but apparently that game sold fine on it's own and didn't need any help.

That was likely due to Yoshida saying that if a story was done being told it's over and not appearing in FF14. Since that was a remake, the story was over (for years) and so didnt get anything in FF14.

The community didn't make any of this stuff happen and as for atma well maybe 2.4 it will be increased and again not because of the community.

CT Loot lock restriction - was removed because its old content
Myth cap restriction - was removed because of soldiery taking its place
Atma if and when its drop rate is increased is because it will be deemed as old content.

If the community had its say Coil would not be locked out, soldiery would be uncapped and Atmas would have had its drop rate increased ages ago.

TBH I would like a FF blast from the past event that randomly selects an old FF game.. IMO FF7 would rule who wouldn't want a SOLDIER outfit, Sephiroth, Tifa, Yuffie, or Vincent outfit and a RED XIII barding or hey he can be a mount xD just throwing that out there.. anyway it would be nice to see more of that...

yea maybe they wont but IMO I feel its something fun... besides its still possible I remember SE said that they wouldn't remake ff7 unless they found a game that would surpassed it numbers and gameplay-wise not sure if FFMMOs were part of that but I believe FFXIV has surpassed many games..

I enjoyed it. I just was upset that I couldn't complete it in time because I didn't have enough time to play.

I'm happy that they're bringing it back again so everyone literally can have a chance. Now all what we have to do is play the waiting game..
