Sounds more like you just wanted a win handed to you, but I don't see a purpose unless you plan to get a static for t6 and beyond. Cause you know...you can't df anything past t5, nor is there echo buff.

You're making a bad names for casual players. I am casual, my FC is casual and we pretty much clear turn 5. Maybe it's time you actually put some work into getting to know friends and the fight and then beat it cause coil 2 is not DF-able and doesn't have echo.

Why are you queuing for t5 in the first place. Do you really want to fail it that badly?

I've only clear T5 via DF 2 times only out off all my tries.
PF is definitely a better way to go with T5.
Most people fail at FBFS and twister.....i've also met a SMN that didn't know he needs to LB....=_=;
T5 isn't something that other people can just carry you through, you really have to earn it.

T5 duty finder you have a better chance at 1shotting Titan EX...In duty finder.

I actually agree with the OP. I think that even casual players should be able to clear content EVENTUALLY. Maybe not today, maybe not in 6 months, but the idea of being stuck on a single piece of content and therefore locked out of all the future content in that quest line is very unappealing.

SE can and should make old content easier as time goes on. Echo for T5 might not be the answer, and now might not be the time to make T5 beatable by the most casual of players, but at some point SE kind of has to. What time frame to do this is probably debatable but I'm going to throw out 6 more months at the longest because casual players should at least be able to challenge T6+ once those turns are DF-able and have echo.

And you totally can have other people carry you through. Mercs are selling T5 clears on my server for 1m gil (it won't amount to much because you'll probably die on T6 but still).

As a further aside, bought wins might be giving SE the wrong impression about how many people are able to legitimately clear T5.

actually they don't have to. melee LB is also a valid method of killing asclepius.

I think you are overestimating the amount of people having 1m gil and wanting to spend them on T5. T5 isn't really difficult for who puts the time to learn now that the echo removed any sort of job check. You only have to know how conflag works, then know how to dodge dives and twisters. Then find 7 other people who have ben up to twisters or higher and taa-daa, got a clear. Even in DF

More of a casual player when it comes to raiding so I do use the DF for Coil. I find it odd that I've had better "progression" on T5 over Titan Ex.

That being said, I've DF T5 plenty of times and have failed plenty of times due to inconsistent parties.

I've cleared T5 over 10 times to date since it was available in DF and on average 6/10 were one shot clears. Being in a JP server I guess these JP players don't mess around.

Learn the fight! Use the tools SE have given us like PF!

T5 really isn't that crazy. It's hard to duty finder it sure, but so is Titan Ex?

I doubt SE isn't going to do much to change anything regarding T5. It's received lots of nerfs AND now it has the echo buff. I'm quite happy that there are fights in this game that will take a bit to learn. If anything it means people have stuff to work on. The day that every single person can clear every single instance in this game in a one shot pug group means that FC's will disband because you wouldn't need to have any friends for anything.

It might be the future that you don't need to social network in games to achieve things, but it's going to be a sad day if it ever comes. If that happens, I'm just going to stick to single player games... oh wait, I can just keep playing my MMO as a single player game...guess that works! :p

Given how I cleared it on my first time and used DF to FARM titan hard I honestly find this really hard to believe. At least the success rate doesn't reflect the average skill level of DF parties in that instance.

Oh the horror stories of Titan HM duty finder in the earlier stages of this game! I wonder if the echo really help people clear Titan HM these days or are there a lot more carries going on? :p

I joined a lot of "Levi EX Farming Groups" lately, and TBH, for my first kill I sneaked into a Farmgrp as well.

So nobody has any shame joining a Grp which states "Kill XP" and after the fight, the Achievment pops up ^^ (seen 3 popups in one levi kill ^^)

You miss nothing on T5 in DF, except for some happy wiping... bring up your own Group like "Training Grp, but know the fight, cause we want to kill" - chances are, some ppl wanting their weapon will join you, or help you.

But really, dont try this fight at Duty Finder - I wouldn´t count on any chance there, myself would never do such thing cause it´s clearly a timewaster

It would be overestimating if I had estimated anything i.e. "x% of players have bought T5 wins". All I did was state what is technically possible. I think we can agree that a non-zero amount of players buy T5 wins. The only question is it a small % or a large %. Either way, SE's not going to have perfect data on how many people are actually able to get clears. It would be unfortunate if SE was making decisions about content difficulty for those who don't buy clears based on data where a significant amount of people buy clears. Please note that I said "if". I have no idea how many players have 1m gil or would want to spend it on a T5 clear.
