I concur...I love Blue Mage! Its one of my main jobs in XI...
I'd also like to see Samurai return.

Math class, i need a touch up on long division.
Class: Sublimen
Main Weapon: Subligar Boomerang - range attack, every attack deals additional stun effect.
Skills:
- Subligar Rub Arm
Rubs subligar on the opponent and it paralyzes them
Additional effect opponent can't use any WS/Abilities- Subligar Rub Face
Rubs subligar on the opponents face dealing damage
Additional effect silence - can't cast any spells.- Subligar Rub Face II

Makes a V sign with his/her hands by the subligar
Heals all in party HP/MP 300-600
Example of the motion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW2vO...eature=related- Subligar Victory II
Makes a V sign with his/her hands by the subigar and does a subligar dance
Heals all in party HP/MP 1000-2000
Time mage
Geomancer
Summoner
Musketeer
Holy Knight ala FFT (not paladin but a front line magic/melee DD)
Samuraii
Gunblade
lol Reinheart, that would be some class.
dual blade user :) or maybe lum it into a job as a sword master :D *pretty please add cool animations*
I'd like the idea of a Great Katana class, But then I love the game's current art style and I'd love to see it expanded to Hakama, Haidate, Gi, Domaru and Sune-ate.
Same deal for the Persian/Arabian styles for Blue mage. (And possibly thief?)
Though, really, I am very curious how Bard will work. And I think just in how I currently enjoy the game (that is, I mostly just wander around and explore.) I think it'd be neat to be sort of a wandering minstrel kinda character.
Commando: weapon, Gunblade.
example weaponskills: Renzokuken, Army of One, Ruin shot
Strengths: good multi-range damage dealer, magic potency slightly higher than most DoW
Weaknesses: HP comparable to arc, lower defense, most damaging weaponskills require 1500+ TP to use
Compatible jobs: War, Rdm, Rng.
hahahahahaha
http://vavi.ru/lj/ultimate_hentai_kamen.gif
Knight - Tank/Dps
Samurai - Dps/Dual wield wakazashi/Double hand Katanas/Duel wield Kama
Dragoon - Dps
Paladin - Tank/heal
Ninja - Dps/Dual wield Ninja Swords
Geomanencer - Dps/Support
Summoner - Dps
Dark Knight - Dps/ Life steal
Flail/whip - Flayer - Blue mage/learns spells from enemies
Great katana - Vagrant - Far east theme, many DD abilities, with cooldown
katana - Assassin - learns dual wield, eva stuffs, enfeebs
great sword - Soldier (lul) - self buffs, low def high output
Staff - Stavesman - fights like pole from FFXII, more of a spiritual fighter
Scythe - Reaper - good damage, good defense, sacrificial attacks for non elemental damage etc
Rapier - Fencer - Works like FFTA2 fencer/spellblade
Gun - Musketeer - They probably already have a direction for this.
Staff machine - Arcanist - They probably already have a direction for this.
instruments - Bard - They are making this a job, i would have just had it with buff abilities
Dice/Cards - Magic Gambler - myriad of stuff
Soil - Geomancer - weather/terrain/day of the week/month, myriad of abilities
Gunblade - Fusilier - DD and debuffs
I'd definitely like to see whips added as a weapon, regardless of class.
I'd like to see a dancer type class, the Ul'dah intro cutscene was very inspiring with them dancing during the parade. The way that mobs are frequently partied and close would make confusion/charm an interesting spell.
I'd also like to see a pet class. It would be interesting if it was like a familiar that was tied to you and grew as you ranked up. So 1-10 it would be an baby/egg and then 10-20 it would be a juvenile and then it would get stronger/older. Either the other commands the player had equipped or its armor would affect their attacks, and perhaps when they grow they could affect how they look.
Chocobo-handler. would be like a DOL, player would have abilities to raise chocobos and perform other chocobo related activities. some of their abilities could be Class-all so that at players who ranked up the job wouldn't need to switch if they wanted to ride etc. Could go on quests involving caring for NPC chocobos.
Gardener.. DOL/ special DOH. players could grow their own plants using various seeds, water and apply certain fertalizers. Lord of the Rings online has a farming mechanic where these were performed in various fields over a short period of time, but having long term gardens in a player owned space would probably be more interesting.
I want them all. Every single one of them. Gunblades etc
Including new jobs like Necromancer.
Musketeer!
Blue Mage
Summoner
Beast Master
Dragoon (WITH a Dragon)
A rehash yes but I would expect a lot more options built into the classes this time around. I'd also like to see the things we begged for for year for our Drg little buddies (such as armor and control over their actions) and whatnot. Ah well, maybe it'll happen but not for a long time.
Samurai
Ninja, Dual Wield ftw!
More classes from the FF Tactics series. (Geomancer, Green Mage, Tinkerer, Berserker, etc.)
Summoner, ofcourse :)
With the option to be more than a healer.
Gambler.
Mime.
That'd be nice.
I personally would LOOOOOVE to see a Holy Knight like job from FFT, or some kind of magic/sword job with an exotic weapon (or just something with a lil bit of flair) and spells unique to that job.
I'd really like to see Fencer, Scholar (of some kind), Time Mage (I imagine it'd be a job from Arcanist) and Blue/Gun Mage make a come back (Gun Mage being the X-2 Blue mage, but.. used a gun to do gaze attacks and things, was a pretty awesome class, could also work in Corsair's abilities from XI).
1. Lumberjack
50 Carpenter + 50 Botanist should open the Lumberjack class.
2. Bowling Manager
New Class that centers on Eorzea's many up and coming Bowling alleys.
Proper BLM and a WHM as a real class/job real summoner and a Chocobo Knight.
Bard {Yes Please} =)
Corsair like FFXI, i loved to play with randoms
Arcanist and musketeer would be my choice. They already have guilds. So makes sense to add them first.
How about a Japanese language class? That way I can play XIV and learn a foreign language!
Dark Knight and Samurai prz
I'd like a melee/caster hybrid (paladin, spellsword, red mage) but give it enough skills so it can go one route or the other, with the number of skills a char can equip being the limited factor. Maybe give the class traits that can increase physical offense/defense at the expense of magic, and vice versa. Just don't call it red mage. Call them spell blades and let them use gunswords (wand swords?) or something like that.
A summoner/blue mage mix would be good.
Dancers and Bards would be nice but I'd mix the two classes into one.
Thieves.
Ninjas and Samurai would be good (just let samurai use spears and bows in addition to katanas).
A chocobo rider class would be good.
Earlier I suggested a trade class that can create custom dungeons, and I stand by that. I guess a trade class for player housing or custom GHs would be good. Give us a sims-like interface for that and let us build it one section at a time.
Monk, Thief, Paladin, Darkknight, Bard, Samurai, Ninja, Bluemage, Corsair, Dancer, and Scholar.
with the exception of corsair i believe all of those were in games other than xi. As for corsair... loved it, however, a different take on bard that offers handy alternatives to the bard-dou (way of the bard) is really all i need from that. Pretty much goes for all the classes could care less what theyre called as long as they fit these roles somewhat.
Whip user class! Add Musketeer as well, I want to shoot things in the face... with bullets! Oh and some class that is a Summoner archetype. Please and thank you.
-There was a whip using class in the dats, I'd love to see that eventually implemented.
- FFXI flavour dragoon
Most of all, I hope future roles released in the game follow traditional Final Fantasy names and not the flowered English name trend the game started with. Not that I don't appreciate the artistic measure in it, but it seems too foreign for FF fans and a bit difficult to use in terms of MMO play. MMO jobs, in my opionion, should have short and obvious titles for ease of gameplay.
Like this guy?
