What changes, if any are being made the the atma portion of the Zenith > Animus part of the quest?
What changes, if any are being made the the atma portion of the Zenith > Animus part of the quest?
Will the weapon upgrade be better or on par with the soldiery weapons and primal weapons
With new classes/jobs "coming soon", will the relic quest chain and subsequent zodiac weapon quest chain be available for new classes/weapon types when they are released? Or, will players be forced to wait for an additional patch after the release of new classes/job to begin their relic/zodiac trials?
I was under the impression that the development team would be implementing reforms for atma/animus before releasing zodiac. Is that no longer the case?
Will Paladin be able to upgrade the sword and the shield independently, or will both pieces need to be Animus to proceed with the quest line?
Can we have the option to change the colour of our relics as well as the glow, once it becomes a Novus?
Two questions that are actually one:
1) Are we able to complete the novus weapon with the new patch (2.28)
2) Are we gonna see damage increase on weapons (from the current damage on the animus weapon) on novus (in 2.28)
//asking to see if it is possible to avoid Soldery Weapons (turn 7 and 8) with our main jobs and get them for our non-primary jobs
Are you planning on extending this Questline beyond 2.3?
At the moment, I don't want to play because I've hit an RNG grind block on all of my content options. In what ways do you plan to change the current content system and how will future content offer new things to do without the unsatisfying experience of low drop rates and long wait times?
Will the Zodiac Weapons, grant special skill bonuses similar to the relics in 1.0? (increased jump damage/decrease jump cd)
will the Zodiac weapons allow us to pick the glow style and color? such as the animus is has a white glow, can we dye the glow?
Will we ever get multiple upgrade paths for the Zodiac weapons so we can specialize into different stats or appearances?
Will we see stats tied to Zodiac Weapons which cannot be found on other weapons in the future?
For example, +"#" auto attack per round, enhancing effects or reducing recasts of job abilities, reducing MP/TP costs, raised TP Cap, new job abilities/spells?
While I can appreciate the idea of longevity when looking at the "saga" of the Zodiac weapons; I agree with one poster, who questioned the current investment necessary to progress from the Zenith to the Atma stages of the quest line; specifically, how quickly can we expect you to increase the drop rate of the Atma from FATES in the zones in which they are currently available? Its disconcerting to find that you lower the difficulty when adding new content to the saga's quest line (in addition to eventually lowering the required number of Mythology tomestones necessary to progress into the Animus stage); if the Zodiac weapons are expected to run a significant length of time, why not leave the requirements in place... it would fit with the concept of a "saga" and give new players, as well as those who have yet to experience the Zodiac quest line, something significant to work towards.
I don't like the itemization of the stats on my Relic/Atma/Animus. Is there a reason for me to progress further into the Zodiac Quest if I know that weapon's stats will just get stronger in the stats that I don't like?
So far since the relic weapon has been introduced the progression of the weapon has been increasing the ilvl, stat, and glow of the weapon. Now with the zodiac weapon being stat customization any plans to introduce enhance?
Will we get more long-term quests like relic reborn? That quest was the best so far!
At what stage will our relic change form and will they match the new Artifact Equipment to be released?
As a follow up when will the new Artifact Equipment be released?
Would it be possible to add special effects that only the upgraded relic would have? E.g.: "Dragoons appearing as if they had wings"
Whether it would appear permanently or only when using certain skills is up to you.
Will the weapons be (one day) equal or even better than the raid weapons and thus have a right to cost so much time and effort?
As a player with multiple zenith weapons, and only recently completed my first set of atmas, will there be other ways to obtain Atmas, such as buying them, or some questline to reobtain them, or enhanced drop rate (even achievment related, such as get Gold rank in 100 fates while zenith is equipped in certain zone to get said atma), with the current RNG i fear trying to upgrade my other weapons to atma due to the massive time sink, and its sad because i truly enjoy those jobs...
Could we change the process of getting Atmas? Such as possibly make it a quest for your character so that you could level as another class while farming for Atmas In addition the drop rate seems still far to low. The whole process has actually made me loose interest in the game.
Will there be other ways to level up our chocobos?
To keep away those who have completed their animus from complaining that future animus weapons are easier to obtain (due to nerfs etc) would you consider implementing a bonus like the armory bonus such that subsequent animus weapons after the first is easier to obtain? IE 1.5k myth per book for first weapon. 1k myth per book for 2nd-5th weapon. 500 myth per book for 6th- weapon
Hi, I'm a player since Beta. I work on a dailiy schedule 09:00-19:00, before Zoidac Weapon i had a succesfully and rewarding progress so far. Now with Atma I'm blocked since content I need now are the new Coil (actually working on it almost downed T6) and Atma. Will you increase the atma drop rate in 2.28? It's not so fair to add this boring and unrewarding mechanism in a game that was released as a "casual friendly" game. Now only grinders or pro-gamer 7/7 can get final weapon, and I'm bored of play because everyone is grinding mith and no one do other contents in PF (definitevly LESS Leivathan or Moogle Ex party since a couple of weeks).
ATMA's are very time consuming but this is what makes it a 'SAGA' in my opinion. But It would be disappointing to have spent the time and for it to be made easier/quicker in the future.
1) Would it be possible to acquire each of the 12 ATMAS once & then be able to purchase further ATMAS from a specific NPC so its not so time consuming for other classes?
2) Also Will it all be worthwhile? Will it be the best available weapon eventually?
3) Will the zodiac weapons have extra bonuses e.g. faster cast times/poisoning effects etc.?
4) As these are 'Zodiac' weapons in future related quests can we be expecting more quests involving the 12 signs of the zodiac?
5) Will there be an option to have your zodiac sign inscribed onto the weapon much like the free company logo?
6) Will it be possible to change the glow (&/or) weapon colour for personal customization?
Given the differing ATMA experience across the general subscription base (short, medium, long, and extremely long), are there plans to address the variability of this experience? Additionally, are there plans to promote relic weapon upgrades for people playing multiple class? As it stands, the time investment to upgrade each weapon is unrealistically long.
Prior to 2.2, 2 out of 3 best weapons available in the game revolved around skill and not RNG and the 3rd weapon (Coil) requiring skill and RNG. Why the change in the Dev Perspective making every single weapon above i90 require RNG for progression. It gives the image of the game losing it's unique identity in the MMO market and 'just another MMO' using the same systems as all the others to timesink you through mindless, unchallenging content; never knowing when your 300+ hours of work will ever be considered 'equivalent' to other players' 8 hours of luck(with the exception of Coil). However, when people do Coil they know full well that every single week they may never see 'their' drop even though it is the only thing in 2.2 that requires skill, even though it is also RNG.
Why change from earning variants through skill and playing a slot machine for best-in-slot to forcing everyone to play a slot machine to obtain anything at all?
One thing I'd love to see with Zodiac weapons is for them to be player skill gated rather than rng/time gated, are there any plans for future Zodiac weapon quests to be implemented in such a way?
One very good example is the original WoW Hunter Rokh'delar quest. It required you to (among other things) kill 4 different demons that tested your skill as a hunter. One of which required you to kite the mob for ~5 minutes while damaging them. It would be awesome if the Zodiac chain did something similar - test your skill specifically for your class. The quest line still took time to complete, simply because beating those 4 demons was not particularly easy. When you did though, there was a huge sense of accomplishment.
Any plans for the zodiac chain to have something like that?
(apologies for the WoW reference, it was the best example of a nice class-related quest line for a weapon that I could think of from my MMO experience)
Will Novus have a 2 stage power up sequence similar to Atma to Animus?
There will be changes to the percentage of drop rate of atma for all people casual or less that are stopped at 80 hours of brainless Fate grinding? Will increase the mithology provided by the istances?
Personal opinion (but widely supported by most of the community FFXIV ) : The quest atma is the worst thing I've personally ever seen on a mmorpg. Being forced to farm for hours to pick up a weapon is really ridiculous, 0 skill, and just farm farm farm that makes the game frustrating to a normal person who works during the day.
I personally think the atma grind was fine how it is probably one of the few. Zodiac weapons are not the best in the game - Lev weapon with mirror is on par with animus(for people who want to grind a different way for a top tier weapon) turn 5 weapons are better than zenith and turn 9 aka 2nd coil turn 4 weapons is better than animus.
Not everyone has to upgrade there relic if they don't want to it was made to be another alternative which they upgrade as content goes along but they didn't want everyone to be running around with the same weapon so they opened up different ways to get top tier weapons and making animus a grind.
Now for the actual question's.
With the upcoming increased mythology tomes from dungeons will the book prices stay the same or will they also be decreased some what?
The tasks within the book I found to be really fun especially the monster kills and the dungeons however can the have to be alive when boss dies condition be removed as it is unfair to have to a dungeon multiple times if you die when boss gets downed?
I have never been a fan of the fate system and feel they are not worth the time or effort at all and there are some fates within the book that have very long spawn times and I find it hard to get help for some of the hard ones and there impossible to clear without a group what is going to be done to address this?
When will we be able to dye the gear from the new dungeons and hard mode dungeons?
Will there be a change in the difficulty level of the 2nd coil as of Bahamut (t6-t9)? Most FC's that do raid might only be past turn6 while the elite FC's are getting much closer to be being completely geared out as they have downed the last turn several times already. This creates a gap between players for the next 6 months or so until the next part of coil comes out which just makes players who haven't progressed still not any further and those that have cleared all turns will have nothing to do within a 6week timeframe.
When will we see an armor preview system?
When will newly created characters be able to select the new hairstyles added by the aesthetician?
