I like to chase minions, Fairies and Carbuncles around to pet/cuddle/hug them but I can't :( All I can do is point at look excited.

A more serious response:
While I can see hugging, kissing (in the form of pecking or a tasteful smooch) and perhaps side by side laying, cuddling and making out are far too intimate given the game's setting and vibe.

Even as a way to "enhance" RP or show endearing affection within the confines of a house, its just too gaudy to be seriously considered as viable emotes for the devs to spend time on, especially within the confines of a Final Fantasy game. The probable use for these emotes falls along the lines of glorified cybersex or eroticism (considering the OP's posts and subsequent backpedaling).

Keep it in the chatbox or improvise emotes.
