I'd just like to inform everyone that the OP got all his atmas within the first few days of the release of the patch.

I'm happy to have it, but got severe burn feeling once it was done. I felt the same way after grinding like crazy on WP to get DL/Myth gear awhile back. After awhile it'll wear off. But man grinding a single dungeon hundreds of times, really wears ya down. If some of ya guys get to the end and you feel like hanging it up, just take some time to cool off, maybe play some other games for a bit, then come back and find some new goals. I hope they decide to increase myth drop in this next update. I know they said they'd do it either in this update or 2.3. Adding more reward from roulette would be nice. That way people want to do those. There's such a huge gap between how fast you can get done via roulette, and just spamming brayflox. When they made myth easier to obtain by adding roulette, what 2.1?, I felt like doing roulette was getting me to my goal in a reasonable time frame. I didn't really feel that with 2.2, I felt like if I wanted to make any decent headway with relic, I had to spam one dungeon. Do a roullete, and risk getting nooby crew, or go spam brayflox 4 times~ and get 200 myth in the same timeframe..

Honestly, since getting my Weathered weapon I'm kinda "meh" about it. Weathered staff has ACC and SS while the Animus has SS and DET, so it'd be one of those situations that I'd use it if I didn't need the ACC.

Is there anything wrong with the fact that some people spent 12+ hours per day for a few dats at the release to get every atmas?
Just because some people got them quickly doesn't mean they didn't invest time in it.

^A thousand times, this!!! Also, I've received a fair amount of hostility in-game for even owning an animus(one especially annoying low-lvl roulette at Brayfox comes to mind).

I do not have an Animus weapon. I do not even love my Atma weapon, for obvious reasons. I've glamoured it because I don't even want to look at it now. As of now, I intend to complete my first book (at my extreme leisure), and no further. I am not interested in the remaining 8 books or Novus upgrades.

I will instead happily take on the challenges that will earn me a Soldiery/Primal/Second Coil weapon. And I think I may choose the alternatives with each Zodiac update, so long as I am never forced (via content or "suggested progression") to have to upgrade my Atma weapon.

I do not like the Atma/Animus system at all, SE. To that end, I am completely disinterested in the Novus upgrades inbound. This is purely MY opinion, but I am all too aware it is a shared one with many players. (Just as I'm aware that there are opposing opinions, so. . . don't.) I make no threats to say this, but any further content that is similar or gated by this, I will not entertain or partake in.

I know that this will sound like I have no life but it took me 3 weeks to get my first animus weapon for my main SMN job. I had great luck with getting the atma drops and great luck with farming myth tomes as a lot of my friends were farming them as well, so that helped out quite a bit. SO, yes I am very happy with my animus weapon and now I am seeking a second weapon for my BLM job. Though I am not having any great luck with getting atma drops for my BLM job am finding that grinding at your own pace and finding other things to distract you while you grind helps ease the burden of having to grind for hours upon hours. It has helped me tremendously and I hope to see more people with an animus weapon :)

What I like the most about the 2 animus I have, is that not everyone has them. More people have i100/110/115 weapons from coil than people who have an animus, so its kind of special to have one.

If everything in the game was fast and easy to get, everybody would have everything and there would be no point in having anything.

If you just need a weapon and don't wanna do the atma quest there is the option to go grab one from coil.

At this point, Animus is bragging rights while coil weapons are much stronger and probably better looking.

Well said. After doing my own comparisons between the Animus and Coil/Soldiery weapons, I'd MUCH rather get a Coil/Soldiery weapon.

Hell, I've got an Atma bow and if I'm lucky enough to get the Allagan Composite Bow before something better, I'm fully switching to that.

I havent gotten an atma weap even yet but i can say i will love it because i actually enjoy playing the game. I just need 4 more and the 9th one is kickin my butt and i will do it for blm and whatever else job i decide to level, trick is to not burn yourself out bros. Some make it seem someone is forcing them to play the game againtst your will. Thats probably unhealthy.
