Considering Atma isn't an upgrade over Zenith, and the fact they they all have Allagan and/or Levi weapons and will soon have 115 weapons from T9... yeah, they probably haven't bothered with Atma much.

To be honest, aside from the Meteor storyline from 1.0, what do we know about Nael anyway? For the time being, I'm gonna go with this at face value and go with Nael being female until we learn otherwise. What we've seen with her transformation may be a more advanced stage of Tempering that primals do, probably something only Elder Primals can do.

It's simple really:

She named her spear after herself when she took on a new persona! :)

But the spear was already named before Deus existed.

For those who do not know; Bradamante is the name of his spear. Apparently named after a warrior maiden he killed. Perhaps Deus is taking on the form of this Bradamante woman?

Another simple answer is that the real Nael Van Darnus may have died a long time ago and Bradamante took on Nael's identity after his death and created a cover story saying that Bradamante was the one who died but in reality the real Nael vas Darnus was the one who died that day.

However, there is also the part that it is possible Nael is just a alias created to hide her real identity and to make certain no one knew she is female when she joined the Garlean Army.

I didn't play 1.0, but I am aware of Naels significance in the lore. So, this is pretty exciting.

Also, 1.0 players. I bet they are eating this right up!

Hmm... now I understand FFXIV 2.0 much better. Yet, I'm curious if the Ascians bring back their god... wouldn't that reawaken Bahamut?

Considering her form seems to be human and primal aether combined into one being... this is going to open up a LOT of new possibilities in the story going forward.

I'm also going to go with the theory that she was female all along and was simply hiding her identity. Any lore or biographies we had up until this point were subject to character bias so it's very possible.

High end weapons don't mean you'll down it.

Old weapons don't mean you won't down bosses.

With 90-95 weapons you can still do plenty of dps to kill the bosses in coil. People need to get over that already, doesn't take high end gear to do this. Mainly just need to pay attention and that can be said for all fights.

Please read the in game text she talks about nael as another person and even refers to nael as a him, she then goes on to say that bahamut took nael's essence and she was born. Therefore not nael van darnus

She actually refering to the birth of Nael Dues Darnus being the personality that takes over the body and worships Bahamut. Nael Vas Darnus will return...

At the end of T9 after you defeat Nael Dues Darnus, Nael vas Darnus returns to her normal self before Bahamut took control over her and reveals what really happened during that moment in 1.0. It is then that Louisoix will appear and reveal he is no under Bahamut's influence and will personal take action if we continue to prevent Bahamut's return. With how Nael Vas Darnus is now free from bahamut's control there is yet hope that Louisoix can be free from Bahamut's control as well.

I'm probably talking out my ass but I've heard the second coil of bahumut are all memories of Nael Van Darnus and that Nael Dues Darnus is a physical manifestation of his memories created by bahumut, and that the female is the warrior he killed.

But yeah, I am really thrilled that Rivenroad's making a return, though....

I'm kinda curious as of why Dalamud moon was there again? Perhaps it's just a mere manifestation?
