My retainer found something interesting...

Is there any clarification on geared retainer finds Vs non-geared retainer finds?

They said that gear would affect the results and I like to keep them geared the best they can be for their level! So far that seems to have paid off on the 18 hour Venture and the Quick Venture you get after level 10.

I equip one of my retainer with full gears and the other one with weapon only.
One of them brought me a Mogbow and the other one found a Garuda's Will.

I think geared or not won't affect your finds, but I could be wrong.

gear effect item quality (HQ NQ) and what can gather
but for quick venture is pure RNG or random

Oh yeah, quick ventures are totally random regardless of gear. one time he brought back a Manor cupboard and the other time a dead fish!

The 18 hour ventures seem to be the best for XP though, they are getting almost 40k for each 18 hour venture at the mo.

They're significantly cheaper token wise but no, I think being on every hour for 18hrs to send them back out each time will net you more experience overall.

Not with Quick ventures, you only get just over 1k xp on quick ventures but a chance of rare items.
Normal 1 hour Ventures give you more XP in total if you were to spend 18 tokens and load it up every hour for 18 hours... but who woud do that?

In terms of Venture Token cost 18 hour Venture is best for XP but what I do is do 1 hour or quick ventures whilst i'm online and before i finish set them on an 18 hour for the next day, seems to work best.

quick venture exp depend on item retainer got
my lvl 18 retainer got 24k exp for lvl 50 green equipment

They were referring to appearance, equipment, and class details. What it means is that if you play on PS3 and PC then you need to summon them once to update the data from the other system. Has nothing to do with items that they bring back.

Got a Darklight Corselet of Aiming yesterday from my retainer. Pretty sweet haul, now that I can't pick and choose which Darklight I want to get anymore.

Mines brought back some pretty useless tuff, though only did quick ones once.

Seems our retainers are a bunch of house elves though. I can only think of Doby...

Anyone know if being geared is effecting the amount of exp earned?

Quick exploration my retainers have brought me benches, roof, and map for housing which is great as we are saving up for housing.
Just wonder how my lalafell retainer is carrying it all, lol

That could be cool, if your retainer brought back a primal, it would spawn in the middle of town, and start all table-flipping/mountain bustering everyone around him. That'd be really awesome, but it would have to have like a 2 min timer. Either that or everyone would have to gang up on him and kill him off. This would be even more interesting in limsa city. He could landslide people off into the water, killing you. lol

On Reddit, people have actually gotten the furniture item from T9. I don't want to post the name of it because spoilers, but he's not the only one. I'm starting to think all these crazy drops are a glitch. Would be nice for SE to let us know because Retainers are getting world firsts lmao

We were talking about this last night. I imagine the scenario goes like this:

RETAINER: yeah, screw that. I'm going to go hang out in Costa de Sol. There's a few houses I can break into on the way back. Most of them don't even lock their doors. Worst case scenario, I rip some flowers from the garden. No biggie. I've got 15 hours to kill.

It is totally "random" what the retainers being back. Even says so when you're first given the description of quick exploration.

If any Free Company is missing a wall and roof on Excalibur, I apologize for the actions of my retainers. They are working as a team to steal someone's house. So far, they've brought me a wall, roof, map, ink quill, some strange patio furntiure, and a bench.

One of the first things my miner brought me was a crafted ilvl 70 pair of heavy darksteel gloves. I don't think anyone's lying when they say they've gotten a primal weapon.

My friend has a retainer that only brings him fish (she is not a fisher). Wonder if that's a bug or if his retainer just hates him.

I would like to see a picture of this. Someone draw a pic of retainers randomly running around mindlessly picking up anything and everything and then bringing it back.

I've been waiting for the folks over xivnomnom to make a comic regard all these crazy retainer ventures. (So far, the most interesting thing my retainer brought back was a Ahriman Vase)

There's going be a !@#$ storm, if a retainer brings back a unidentified tomestone, or sands of time. Not only is the hardcores going to P@#$ all over the place about it, but the people upset about P2W are going to have a field day with it.

the rate still very very low and this will make those guy that buy retainer will be a whiner and POOF new suggestion thread popup here and there to increase rare item get by retainer
the best i got is ilvl 70 craft armor ONCE,tons house furnisher,crap fish alot and some not worth mention

Question for you folks getting housing stuff and high end weapons...is it a mix of quick ventures and exploration or just one or the other?

Most I've gotten so far is a boat load of different dyes and one firewood.

It's like Xmas in the morning...wonder what they'll bring me this time. XD

I am loving it if the item is any random item from the entire game. :D So far pretty silly results. xD

Lol, saga of the retainers, starting out as petty criminals, raiding the residential districts for furniture and stripping people's roofs, they banded together to best king moggle mog to do more with their lives! But their thirst for blood grew after defeating such a worthy foe and so they set their sights on Odin!

Mine came home with a window and a Tonberry Floor Lamp. I'm finding that it's my Archer on quick ventures that's coming home with the goodies...the botanist and miner come home with...plants and shards and ore...oh and the occasional ...fish? :p
