This game got limited by the PS3

yoshida have PS3 on his account for expansion aka 3.0

so they wont drop support on PS3 before expansion aka 2 years from now on

The game runs better on my PS3 than it does on my year old laptop. I will switch to PS4 at some point if I keep on playing, buying a PC is not an option due to lack of space in my room and my laptop is too new to be replaced.

Eh, the PS3 technically limits very few things. Inventory space and the like has to be identical between platforms. I'm not sure what else could possibly be that limiting. They could technically run completely different graphics assets on each version, have different shading and lighting, etc. I suppose if they decided to make zones as large as they used to be but as detailed as they are now that might be an issue. It might only manifest as some popping in on the PS3 client though and they really aren't likely to make enormous highly detailed zones unless it's actually necessary for something. There are always scenarios like Yoshida mentioned in a recent interview where they might want to add features that are drastically different from what we have now that the PS3 obviously can't handle (destructible terrain, some sort of intricate flying mount scenario he talked about, and of course any very large scale content might suffer from PS3 considerations). Hopefully if the developers ever do find themselves working around the PS3's shortcomings they'll begin phasing it out. I think it was a mistake to keep the PS2 support for XI so long, but I don't have their customer surveys in front of me or anything to judge whether or not dropping support would have been akin to cancelling thousands of subs or not.

I'm unsure if you just wanted to make a statement of the obvious (Yoshi has admitted on numerous occasions about the limits and difficulties due to the ps3), or if you wanted to start some sort of conversation.

There needs to be a thumbdown/dislike option on forums.

Once you get enough dislikes, you can't make troll threads every day anymore.

Look at this thread degrading, and all the threads the OP made recently. The topics are not meant to generate any useful discussion but to incite hostility among players, it is toxic to the community. Just look at the title of this thread, pretty much saying it's the PS3 players fault.

At least the egi-system is not because the PS3 limitation, but because Yoshida want the big primals as rare as possible (not everyone should run around with a big primal). The big primal summon is planned for only the FC's after they fighted for the right to summon a big primal one time. Something like a FC limit break i guess.
