Error 6001

Threw persistence i got back in to the game after being locked out with 6001 error for around 45 minutes. Seeing i do not see any dev's replying or any updates in the news. I think this error is sporadic

Balmung server 6001
8:40 am - 8:55 MST

Was able to login for about 5 minutes, then DC'd again. Leviathan

So did I. I logged on like 5 mins ago with no problems now. - Adamantoise

edit- and now 90k'd :p

Having same issue. Was in this morning with no problem. Started having a bit of lag here and there, then about an hour ago I was bounced mid fight. Tried to log back in, got to the character select screen, then it times out and gives the 6001 lobby connection error, and completely shuts down game. Have tried a bunch of times over the past hour. World status shows it online, looks like this is an issue with the data center.

*Edited to add, now I am getting the 5006 error when it tries to connect to the data center

Seems to be working, been online for about 10 minutes now with no issues.

Same exact issues here. Rebooted my entire network and PC earlier. Never had these issues before and wish a forum rep would speak on the situation.

Loged back in on Leviathan. Got kicked out after 10 minutes. Would be nice if someone would reply and let us know what's going on. Not looking like we are going to get to play much before the long maintenance tonight.

Yeap, getting 6001 errors after selecting character to login with. Server Gilgamesh.

Successfully logged into Tonberry though.

I've got the same error after coming back on from playing LR.

Im still on, but the lag is staggering... would hate to see what a titan run would be like in this sate >A>

6001/5006 cmon SE fix the NA data centers

Didn't want my first post to be a complaint but this isn't like you SE. Error 6001 and maint in 7 hours for a ten hour marathon-maintenance?! Come on!! I have coil in 3 hrs! D:

I've got exactly the same issue, server is Odin. first I could see my character loading screen and Error 6001

Same problem here. Was hoping to play until the maintenance started this evening. Guess I'll do my laundry and clean the house so I don't have to do it this weekend.

Leviathan is a server...

Server is incredibly unstable. Second time it has ruined a CT run in a row. I should have learned my lesson the first time and called it a day..

While I was in Pharos, we all lagged out on the final boss (we were doing so well too). 90ked then 6001 trying to get back in. Got in, was not in the dungeon (what a waste of time haha), but it was okay for a bit. A bit of lag but manageable. Just DCed again waiting to help a friend with Ifrit/Garuda and am now getting 6001 again. I'm on the Leviathan server. :( I just want to play a little before maintenance.

Error 90002 here, just got disconnected from a CT run. Then when I tried to click Play it gave me Error 6001 and shut my game off. People were lagging really bad during that run, I am guessing this has to do with today's maintenance.

Looks like the ps4 patch has started early and is messing everything up.

Maintenance tonight, then I leave the country for 10 days tomorrow............Just wanted to get some good playtime in today.... Thanks SE! :mad:

Got back in. Huge, nearly unplayable lag - was (trying) to farm karakuls and would have periods of up to 30 seconds after hitting an attack before it went through.

Lost connection again after 15 minutes or so, now getting error 2002 when trying to connect to the data center.

Same thing here, errors and whatnot. Diabolos Server.

It sounds like the instance servers are pretty borked. Anyone having issues with the world servers?

I am also receiving this error. I can only think that it has to do with the recent Steam sales of FFXIV:ARR - and the fact that we haven't seen this since the heavily congested Beta.

it says maintenance to me on the 20th 1am to 11 pm it is over 9 hours to a maintenance

Only seems to be affecting the NA data centers, JP data centers are fine. As if anyone's surprised by that.

Just an FYI, FFXIV is on sale in Steam for half-off.

So in other words, influx of players.

I am showing the patch for the ps4 update today at 5pm. I am assuming that this lag and server issues have something to do with them implementing the patch for ps4 compatibility. The steam game has nothing new and even with new blood in the game the population is not anywhere near that of launch.

Yes in fact. I JUST logged in to the game, picked up leves, went out the gates, and then poof; DC. Error 9000 or some sh*t.
I don't pay 15$ a month for this crap, I'm PMS'ing and I'm pissed. This is the 3rd day in a row I've had dc/login issues, and there's been no update about it at all. Are you working on it? Do you know what it is? Do you know when it will be fixed? Why do you have technical support forums if you never answer them? Do you even look at them or are we wasting our time and should we all just find another freakin game to play?

lagging bad in CT and even in low lvl dungeon , what i notice is some of the other players from duty finder also having same issues.
