I'm getting the same error. Sargatanas server.
I'm getting the same error. Sargatanas server.
I remember seeing an official answer somewhere in a thread that got closed, saying it's just a temporary problem which will be fixed after a few hours at most.
I've been trying to log in for THREE days now, about 3-4 times per hour, not once have I made it to the character selection screen, always got blocked by the nice 2002 error message.
I've tried it in 3 different networks, with ports open. This is NOT a problem on my side. Please fix this already, SE, before the event is over. I'd go into enrage mode if I missed it for that reason..
Famously invented the developers took the money and did not provide the service! For a week I can not play! Theft! Return the money!
The truth is the feeling that the developers do not read this branch, as no one answer or not. Writing into the void, and we have.
i keep getting error 2002. I can't make it past the start screen still. i have owned this game since day one. and haven't been able to play since the beta what the actual F***
Sounds similar to my issue here, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ror-Repeatedly except I can at least log in for a short time.
Has only been this bad since the maint on the 14th.
From Hyperion in the Primal Data Center. Also getting this issue. Feel like I'm being punished for taking the 3 day weekend to play Lightning Returns instead of FFXIV :(
Same issue here. was ready to open a treasure cache and boom. Now I can't log in, restarted pc everything, no change.
Same error, can not get on for few hours now.
Same error on my side. Sargantas. I logged on just fine, checked with my isp and they are not throttling my connection. Reset my router, PC, network card, drivers, etc. Nothing has fixed the issue. A response would be nice from a moderator.
I've been getting 2002 a lot last night, but It did stabilize after an hour or so.
Main site says it's been taken care of (http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...27f4d2921cf276)
BUT I'm still unable to log in. It has been so since Sunday evening.
Chaos data center, Phoenix Server
Kinda shame, I've just started to play this game a few days ago...
BTW it's a bit odd they say it's ISP based. I'm using the very same ISP on a different location (but still same town) and everything seems to be working just fine. Same goes for PS3 version.
I'd be happy with gaming on PS3 but it's butt ugly ;p
EDIT: Confirmed this being a problem only on NA/EU data centers for me too. + other odd thing is when I'm trying to connect to EU data it gives me error 2002 AND a bonus of disconnecting my internet connection
Even though they say it's fixed, I'm still getting the same issue. Has anyone here recovered from the issue yet?
Also having this problem. Repeated 2002 while trying to connect to Primal data center. World is Hyperion.
EDIT: Fixed my issue. Seems Bitdefender has an ongoing hatred for ffxiv. Had to disable bitdefender firewall functionality and start using windows firewall in order for it to connect.
Ever since the 2.16 patch I have been receiving the 2002 error...I've turned off my Avira Antivirus and am currently using the Windows firewall.
I'm also on Hyperion and am attempting to connect through the Primal data center.
Edit:
I port forwarded these ports and have been able to log into the game and stay on for brief periods before getting Error 90000:
UDP
55296~55551
TCP
80, 8080, 443, 55296~55551
During the brief periods that I am able to be online I experience really bad lag spikes.
Same thing happening here. I'm on Masamune, playing CT when got 90k. Then 2002. Unable to login for about 10 mins, kept getting 2002. Got in, lasted about 10 minutes... then was kicked in an Ultima HM. 90k, 2002. Can't get back on.
Come on, SqEnix. We're paying you for the service, FIX the service!
From Hyperion in the Primal Data Center. Have had the 2002 Error before and after the 2.16 patch. Please help fix this issue as it seems to be affecting many people.
Data Center: Primal
Server: Hyperion
Unable to log in due to the Error 2002. Frequent attempts have been futile.
I have been trying to get into the PS4 beta all day, all fruitless, because of error 2002. It occurs as soon as I try to start, before I can even make a character.
Same. It's been really bad, only since the 2.16 patch for me. Sometimes I can log in, but everything will be completely frozen or rubberbanding for a few minutes, then I get 90k and 2002. It'll really suck if I can't cap myth this week...
Aether data center, Sargatanas server.
Update(?):
Still receiving 2002s as well as 90000 errors.
I've tried to connect to the Aether data center and it just gives me a 2002 error.
Haven't been able to play this entire week because SE hasn't said anything about this problem... :/
I started getting the 2002 Error at the Character Select Screen (or at the title screen after X'ing out of the Character select screen two) hours ago. All I did was log out, make breakfast, and when I came back, *poof*, can't play anymore.
Tried 3 PCs, two networks, wired/wireless, restarted routers and PCs, disabled AV and firewall, and nothing helps....
I can't login either, at least now the servers went from being super laggy all the time to down, maybe they will fix it this time around.
Same exact issue here -- Aether cluster, Mateus server. Worked perfectly fine yesterday evening, went to play today, and none of my characters load when I hit "play" on the main menu, and after a few moments I get a 2002 error message saying the lobby server connection has encountered an error. I have tried restarting, reinstalling, restarted router, tried starting as administrator, etc etc, to no avail.
I have made no network changes, firewall changes, or updates to any pertinent software since the game played perfectly fine yesterday. It is worth noting, that I can connect to Asian and EU data clusters without any issue at all, but I cannot connect to Aether at all.
I expect to be reimbursed for time I am unable to play due to issues on the dev side of the game, especially since we haven't gotten any response or acknowledgement of the issue whatsoever.

I wish they'd tell us which error they are addressing in the announcements. At least that way I'd know whether our problem is even being looked into.
The generic "difficulty accessing several worlds" doesn't really help when it seems that there are currently multiple issues that could be described that way. (This or the disconnects some people are getting)
Has anyone else also submitted a support ticket in addition to posting here? It doesn't seem like any support will actually respond here.
I did 9 hours ago. Haven't gotten any form of response yet.
Getting the 2002 error on Brynhildr server all afternoon, and I was able to play with no issues as recently as 2AM CST.
Confirmed that I am able to log into every other data cluster except for Aether. Every. Single. One.
Well, at least you can access an NA/EU server. Aether, Primal, and Chaos are the ones that don't work for me. The JP Data Centers work just fine though. Wonder why yours is different...
No joy here either. Played without errors until last night and now when I try to log in I keep getting the 2002 error as well.
Chaos data center / Moogle server.
edit: Tried again and now I can't even get the launcher to work: it says a system error has occurered: -2146697211.
Maybe they're working on it then now that I get different results from logging in :p.
Make sure everyone having this issue is also submitting a ticket with technical support. Flooding their support with similar tickets on this issue may well be the only way to get it fixed, as it would seem they don't give $0.02 about what gets posted here.
How do I submit a ticket? I've been getting this issue pretty much since I bought the game. It's ridiculous. Every day I get off work and I can't even get in. And on the off-chance I do get in, my ping is iffy (it's fine in everything else), and sometimes it'll just d/c me with the 90k error.
In the game client, before you login and start the game -- click where it says "support" at the bottom of the page, this will open a website. Follow the directions on this page where it says "contact us" to send in a support ticket. These forums only exist for users to find answers among themselves it would seem, sadly.
I've spent the last hour trying to help a friend over remote desktop with the same issue. I'm currently logged into Balmung just fine, have run a CT, no issues.
A friend who just bought the game yesterday was able to play fine last night, but all day today he's been unable to login and has been getting the Error 2002 disconnect issue.
I'm a network engineer so I'm familiar with the standard connectivity BS. We've bounced client workstation and modem, I've disabled the firewall entirely, have forwarded the relevant ports for the game, have even attempted forwarding ALL traffic (unable to perform router bypass as he has a combination router/modem from his ISP). I've checked all relevant services as well, but he's unable to load his character list at all on Balmung.
Our most recent step was to attempt creating a character on an alternate server, which he was able to do during testing (on Yojimbo). I'm unsure if this is specific to Balmung, or perhaps one of the authentication servers for the Aether group but this definitely isn't a client side issue. Can someone please investigate further?
My 2002 error occurs across all NA Data Centers, but not on JP Data Centers where I am able to create new characters. Is yours across all NA Data Centers as well?
Same behavior I was seeing while RDPing to my friend's machine. I'm in the Northeast and am logging in perfectly fine, unsure if it's a geographic issue with one of the login gateways but the affected user I was troubleshooting is in Texas.
I am also in Texas (Dallas) on Verizon FIOS.
