Countless MMO's have dungeon drops to bind on pickup and don't allow you to play more than 1 class per character.

1) It's never going to happen. No use even musing over it.
2) For whatever reason you think, you're thinking of the wrong game. The game is built for party gameplay, not solo. Giving you a viable reason to solo the content takes away from the incentive to use party content.
So, it actually does hurt everyone else. It damages the whole server. If you want solo dungeon content, you need to seek another game.
I want a solo mode, but not for rewards or farming. I want it as a challenge mode, with perhaps no more reward than an Achievement. Maybe a minion if you can complete all dungeons in solo mode. Something non-essential and trivial. I want to do it just for the challenge of doing it, and for no other reason. The story gives you credit for clearing them alone. Let us test it.
Personally I'm not against the idea but I think that soloable dungeons should be seperate from the current dungeons. I also don't think that a soloable dungeon should not offer rewards equal to or greater than the party based dungeons. If anything, the rewards from a soloable dungeon should be mostly fluff or green equipment (lets face it, nobody wants those green ilvl55-60 for anything besides vanity) but tomes should never be offered.
Um....no? Cu'z there are bunch of solo contents already, and FF is all about team play.
Seems like a lot of people aren't reading what the OP meant and well this thread is just stupid so let me clear it all up.
OP wants to be able to go on whatever job UNSYNCED to solo low level dungeons for their loot collection.
Reasons this is not okay:
Can farm items to turn in for company seals.
Can farm entire sets of gear for all your jobs thereby making dungeons pretty much useless.
More instanced servers going on (cause we totes need more of those)
Maybe SE should make a single player version of this game were you get three characters you control with the gambit system like in ffxii. Add a basic multiplayer mode like in white knight chronicles meet up in a town like what we have in housing to be able to group up in duty finder. Though I seriouly doubt something like this would ever happen tbh but something maybe I wouldn't mine having myself err maybe just a thought still like what we currently have in game also :P
Occurs to me this call for solo dungeons may have an underlying cause, which is the nature of community these days. Ct trolls, elitism, abuse of players and preconceived notions about other players abilities possibly have soured some people on lots of party play. Especially if friends have left the game and now these ppl are forced to df or pf. I don't think one or 2 solo dungeons could break the bank but perhaps we need to fix the reason ppl want one. Just my opinion
That isn't what the OP is talking about. They are talking about how on WoW(for instance) you can go into a level 20 dungeon on your level 95 if you want. You can romp through the dungeon solo, kill everything, and try to get some drops that your lowbie characters can use.
And honestly, this hasn't caused any problems on WoW with getting dungeon groups.
How do people not understand what the op was asking from the original post? Nothing is re-tuned, or changed in the dungeon. Sync is the only thing that is removed. She's not asking to go in and solo WP or primals. Soloing old content has been done since EQ. It doesn't kill peoples interests in running systems like DF. DF will carry on as it has in other games. Packed with people who don't talk to each other, or are there to troll and be carried. Those 200-400 marks you get from turning in loot to the GC's wouldn't kill the market. I can gain marks faster soloing GC leve. 500+ marks for 1 minute of work.
I'm with the OP. Stop with the damn restrictions and forced sync in instances. All it's going to do is create a lot of useless, dead content.
There was another post that did however hit the nail on the head. Square just doesn't want that many instances opened. Look at the clusterfuck that was the release. We'll see how their structure holds up with the ps4 release.
Not sure if this was said yet but instead of making them solo able, make them their own zone kinda like open world. This way it will be open to everyone on that server or keep it open world but link the worlds that are already linked to DF to these dungeons, add some more mobs and adjust mob lvls, this would make a lot of ppl explore older content, and add some open world content .
There should be a "walk in" to dungeons, many games I have hit level cap and go back to faceroll a level 20 dungeon for entertainment.
After all a level 50 is not doing a level 20 dungeon for exp anymore are they it hurts no one.
I wish there were more soloable bosses like chimera
soloable = a way to elaborate / find your own strategy finding and learning how to use the full potential of your skills and understand hwo they work without having to deal with silly players that all they do is demean you, put you down, plain insult you or throw you out if you are not geared as per their taste, not fast or good enough as per their taste. Solo dungeon = training ground.
Regular mobs of quests arent quiet the same as those in the dungeons...therefore not really a training ground...just me though and I agree I wish there were specific soloable dungeons
