Forget new mounts, what is far more important is mount equality.

No more of this scaled down BS they pull with models like the Unicorn/Nightmare and the Battle Drake mounts. If you put in time farming extreme primals or doing your daily quests you deserve a mount just as big as anyone else, not a snake with legs or a miniature pony.

Every time I see a lala riding the coeurl mount i sigh because the size of the thing is just so damn ridiculous.

A slepnir mount (odin's many legged horse), it would be glorious. That said, even though the community rep said no plans for flying mounts...I really hope that the dev team considers flying in the future, please pass that on to them!

Please pass on most of these mount suggestions some are down right ridiculous and or make no sense of logic. Flying hearts, Easter bunnies, an aldgoat, coblyn, to name a few.

Also event mounts blow because it causes everyone to scramble to get the mount before the end of the event - some can't get it, some have bad rng and don't get it, others don't have time to dedicate to get it. If you do add more mounts I hope you keep it to where everyone that wants it can get it at any time - like the rep rewards and subscription rewards.

Also if you add to many crazy mounts the game might become a circus.

Last thing "allow the drake to breathe fire still with a push of button(no damage done to anything) and gobble to sneeze still (no damage done to anything). Like the 2 quests...now that's badassery. Also regulate mount sizesto be 1 size fits all I hate strutting in on my big prestigious chocobot to only look over and see the fella next to me has one 4 times my size because he us a row. Make us ride the same size stuff

I would like an ADS mount. Something like how you fly on the eye.

I think it would be neat if you could craft one for example. Possibly collecting all 3 ads items. Frame, plating and illuminant.
I don't know. Just a suggestion.

I want Bismarck as a mount. The whale version from FFVI, not the horribly crappy things from XI and XIII.

Ultima Weapon would also make a fine mount.

Maybe a Dwarven tank from FFIV could work. It would be especially awesome if it jumped like the Blaster Master tank. >_>

Said it a long time ago in another mount thread, and I'll say it again here.

If they add another mech style mount it should be the hover bike from Final Fantasy XII that sits two people. I feel that would be awesome, maybe make it something you have to craft or just a rare drop from a future raid/hard mode dungeon or something.

OK here's my suggestions:

Any of the gestalt modes from XIII, probably Lightning's Odin. Vanille's hecatonchair is pretty much a magitek already anyway.
The giant Moogle doll with the underbite that Cait Sith rides in FF7.
Ze Shoopuf.
Red XIII
Ixion
Cerberus
Doomtrain, maybe shorten it down like a supermarket coin ride, lol.
Omega (I'm partial to the design they had in XIII-2, but Proto-omega from XI would be acceptable too)
A 16-bit or 8-bit chocobo. 2D sprite, make this happen.
A Gargant from Gargan Roo from IX. Maybe have it so people travel upside down? A little ridiculous, but it'd be funny to see.
Adamantoises.
Ultros.
Sandworms.

I would like to see some more cute options for a mount. Too many ugly looking mounts.

Cute would be like . . .
-a Stuffed Mog mount that Cait Sith rides on in FFVII
-any mount that's cuter, like something pretty instead of an ugly floating eye, cold mechanical magitech, or scaly sharp toothed things
-some kind of large fluffy rabbit type mount either from a Valentine event (think Valentione's Day) and the rabbit could have some kind of saddle or collar or other decor with hearts somewhere and Valentione colors for them, or from an Easter event, I'm not sure how this would fit with FF since the closest thing to a rabbit seen in the series was the viera, but maybe there would be a way, like the rabbit mount comes from another land like the horse did in that recent event

And of course more chocobo barding. Chocobo Barding is seriously lacking.

Ozma mount please!

I'm okay with hovering mounts, but no flying mounts please...it just kills a game and they're just not needed here. The one thing I would really like to see though is a size increase on the mounts for us Roegadyn. The coeurl and Ahriman mount looks like we beat them in to submission, forcing them to carry us. the only thing that looks decent as far as size ratio goes are the choco's.

I seriously think all mounts should have something special.

The company chocobo is used as a companion and gets special garments.

Other examples are:
- We could take less damage from monsters while on the magitek armor/behemot
- The goobbue mounts could have its sneeze attack to repel weak monsters
- The drake could have its fire attack for minor damage
- The coeurl mount could jump higher (there are invisible walls everywhere, so it's not game breaking in any way)
- The arihman mount could have reduce/no falling damage
- The unicorn/nightmare mount could have higher resistance to the heavy effect while damaged
- The legacy chocobo could be slightly faster

Basically, there are mount categories and each have a special effect. That effect is weaker for easy-to-get mounts, while it is higher for hard-to-get mounts.
These effects would be small perks in the normal overworld and could become truly effective in special zones with special contents in the future (mount battles?)

Hopefully this suggestion will make it on a wishlist and not blacklisted right away. :(

normal horse mount, raptor mount, and aldgoat mount. Would love each of them!

And oooooh yeah would I love if they gave every mount a version of each chocobo barding...! Odin's barding on unicorn/nightmare would be awesome....!

1. Definitely something of Allagan design. ADS, one of those Claws from CT, or something entirely new. But definitely Allagan. Even better if it hovers.
2. As an abstract take on a floating/hovering mount, how about a winged harness/device that essentially makes your character "fly" i.e. Manor Maidservants/Lady Amandine, Garuda (ESPECIALLY her. I love those wings), or again some type of Magitek/Allagan equivalent.
3. How about a crystal/sprites? Since they already float. . .
And 4. For those of us who spread out our points on our Chocobos, Red Mage barding, or perhaps bardings that allude to other FF titles (Chocobo of Light anyone?)

Giant Snurble /or/ Snurbles that function like rollerskates.
Cactuar skateboard.

Would also be cool if they gave different animations or at least sound effects to the mount calls. Why am I blowing into a horn when my coeurl is summoned by a bell? I'd like the Magitek to be "activated" by clicking the key, kinda like when you unlock your car doors to get in. And so on..

Almost forgot, A Atomos Mount would be nice.

I want them to stop making mounts other than chocobos, and focus all of the human capital they would spend designing new mounts to fire the designers and hire more developers to finish chocobo breeding!

I want blue, black, green, red, gold chocobos with different body styles and sizes and speeds and mounted abilities. Like green chocobos will make you non-aggro to anything below your level, blue would give you a choco-sprint button, black would make you immune to run-speed changes, gold would give you 25% increased runspeed and one of those other abilities depending on what you bred it with!

And choco-dye, so you could dye the tips of your chocobo's feathers different colors, and more customizable bardings, or accessories that would have companion effects. I'd love to see crafted items that could only be attached to chocobo's that were bred, that would give you substantial increases in your abilities. Like a side-mounted bowl of incense might increase your character's MND/INT, a side-mounted scabbard/holster could increase skill-speed, a green choco might increase HP regen, a blue might increase mana regen, etc!

And a little stable in your inn room / FC house room for your choco to sleep in.

And...and...

I just want more chocobo stuff, since that is what is iconic to me in FF. I have some of the other mounts that I use quite a bit, but I'd love to be able to personalize my chocobo. A nice red chocobo with gold feather highlights with a huge feather in his cap for my monk!

Try open up your mind a little and accept the fact that the "real issues" in the game are "issues" only to some of the playerbase, and that not everyone likes the same things. Some people want less lag, others want less lockouts, others want bigger butts, and others want more mounts or minions. Why should only a small part of the playerbase, to which you belong, be contented? Bashing other people's suggestions or requests will not give your crusade a greater meaning.

Also, as I keep saying to everyone, the DEVs do not all take care of everything. They have a team specifically for mounts, and I assure no one in that group of developers will spend a minute worrying about what you label the "real issues" of the game. They will think about mounts because it's what they're paid to do. These are the devs this thread is addressing to, and no one of the developers in charge of fixing your "game's real issues" will waste their time on this thread, don't worry.

Honestly, they shouldn't have bothered with have all these random mounts.

Chocobos are a huge staple and possible selling point for the game, they should have invested all their resources into designing a lot more interesting barding options and breeding for Chocobos - in fact, I'm not sure why I have two Chocobos, why didn't they just create Legacy barding instead? Seems kind of odd. It might make a bit more sense if Legacy Chocobos end up playing a part in breeding, but I doubt it.

Not sure if anyone said it, but seeing as smns probably aren't gonna get pets the same way in XI, A fenrir mount would be nice. Perhaps something you can get using wolf marks to give people incentive to do pvp. (or maybe not, seeing as it's a bit of a mess right now)

I have no idea if anyone has mentioned this BUT I think Lalafells deserve their own pesonal mount: THE RAUHBAN (sp??) mount!
