What was your very first encounter against Odin like?

was.. invisible... thats pretty much it.. some flashing of spears... some diying .. no one being able to target anything...loads of aoe heals and attacks becuase no one couldnt do a thing that required targeting.... you know.. all the good stuff

My first time doing Odin on Gilgamesh was one to remember, so many people were there the entire server crashed.

I have no idea. I think I was attacking his spear,as I couldn´t see Odin at all. And then I died, rather we all died.

*PS3 player* I'm sure it's better now since they changed the draw priorities a while back, but I couldn't see him and my only damage was with Flaming Arrow. Walked out with a bronze or silver lol.

Same deal with Behemoth, although with that one I got one shot without seeing anything. Haven't tried either since, probably never on when they spawn lol.

Well I saw lots of explosions and pretty lights and...then I was dead.

Can't see anything. Can't see anything. Lagging. Spell effects. People are running all over. Can't see anything.

Is Odin still even around?
Weeks ago i would often here people say "Odin just appeared" and would always be too late to get there. Now i do not hear any talk about it. So my first encounter =non-existent :(

Second time was even better. That was when Odin killed Gilgamesh.

For me it was doing a leve and noticed the sky go dark. Odin was my first thought. Died three times and witnessed zantesuken.

Seeing the weather change (and not knowing that was the marker for Odin at the time)..

I do like that the fight is actually doable and you can see Odin now though :o

Never got a fight where Odin killed Hyperion.. though have seen Behemoth kill Hyperion once or twice. ^^;

A lag fest where I was killed by an invisible Odin

I never saw Odin. I was once in the same zone with him. He was dead in under a minute of popping.

"WTF your level 30, go away your making us real players (the 50's) lag really bad".
"You idiot you used LB to soon"
"WTH did a level 30 just use the limit break"

"Main tank died again"
(dude, all the tanks are dead they all died)
"Let me tank my gear is better"
"Nah I got this.... nm"

Laggy and disappointing.

Didn't even see him for the first 4-5 minutes, by that time I had died twice. After that I think I died another 3 or so times after losing sight of him (2.1 patch luckily fixed that for the most part.) Almost hit Zantetsuken but the server ended up winning the battle by maybe a half a second at most.

My first time seeing Odin, he was quite invisible for me. There was about 4-5 SMN Shadow Flare's on the floor. A bunch of sparkling cures as well as Ice blocks flooding the screen. The question to return to New Gridania on my screen anticipating my raise would not come with the 24-30 people clusterfking the area.
