Pharos Sirius...

This dungeon is a joke. The wolves on first boss can be stunned, which makes them almost a non issue, the bird you just kill one egg let one spawn, and keep running to avoid his in the air attack, third boss is lol tank and spank, and last boss you stun lunatic voice and run to the middle when needed. I've gotten this a few times in roullete, all you need to do is explain the fights in simple terms and most people should be fine.

Did this dungeon as a war when it first came out and beat it although just barely
Today I got it again in DF, was actually excited to do it, got to first boss and wiped 3 tomes in a row..
Apparently smn is not producing enough dps? That's what the monk in the group was saying as smn had an i55 weapon and was undergeared.
I'm not sure that was the problem, half the smn gear were DL. Whm and mnk were properly geared, so was I. I'm still not sure what was the reason we were wiping. Anyway mnk rage quits blaming the smn.
I hit DR again and complete AK in the same amount of time! Myth tomes done. So I'm thinking this dungeon really shouldn't be available through DF? Atleast until in a few months when people get the general strategy , I also agree on making it drop higher level gear

The funny thing is the first boss is way easier if you have less DPS. You don't kill wolves as quickly but you rarely will have 4+ on you since they spawn based on the boss's HP and when they spawn more slowly it gives more time for the crystal debuff to wear off.

This dungeon is much less intimidating that it first appears.

I explain it like this: (I always tank this dungeon)

Boss #1 - DPS just dodge AOEs and kill wolves ASAP. Keep them away from all players and mobs when you do so.

Boss #2 - ONE DPS will kill ONLY ONE egg per spawn - speckled if possible. DPS priority: Adds > Boss

Boss #3 - DPS Priority: Crawling Zombie > Walking Zombie > Siren. Healer must top-off ppl who are charmed. Run to edge of center circle when she jumps. If she lands in middle > group hug. If she lands on edge > dodge.

Other than that, the battle is about stunning Lunatic Voice, and Tanks should be able to handle that fine.



If people know what they are doing, Pharos is a faster dungeon than Copperbell HM. It's become one of my favorites.

Bottom line from a healer perspective: the risk to reward of this dungeon in DF is not worth it. Non-Df with an FC party it is a walk in the park.
