2- Crafting
3- Every Dungeon/Primal prior to the endgame grind
Monk class, crafting, gathering, combat, my character design, the graphics, my fc, some of the bosses and dungeons. Love this game. <3 and the lalas are soooo cute. Wanna glomp them all! 1! 1!! *=^-^=*
Off the top of my head:
*My FC
*Linkshells - they've enabled me to make loads of friends and chat easily even though we're in different FC's
*Music
*Lalafells! <3
*Scholar class. Silly little faries.
*References to other final fantasys
*SNOW! I CAN THROW SNOWBALLLS

Male roegadyns white mages with white hair and af2 armor.
Cool thoughts everyone :D
Also i like Seventh Heaven bar in Mor Dona too :D
The world. It's beautiful, though I do wish it was bigger. I was very excited that they added treasure maps. To travel again and not duty find from Revenant's Toll has tickled me pink. I love traveling on chocobo with the rest of my party, passing by lower leveled people.
The music. Even though the music isn't on loop, what they have in each zone fits very well.
The general aesthetics of the game. From gear design to color schemes, it just adds to the beauty of the world. Can't wait till we can dye unique/untradeable gear
I love the story. It's hard for me to get into any game if I don't have a good understanding of what I am fighting for and why. I have seen plenty of negative comments about it, but the storyline so far really sucks me in and has me craving more
I love the beautiful world. Though there are aspects I miss from 1.0, I think they did a very good job fleshing it all out for 2.0.
I really like the unique looks for all the different jobs and crafting classes, it's not all the same generic robe look for casters like some other MMOs, everything has its own theme.
I like the fact that they are adding in a wide variety of content, giving everyone (or most everyone) something to look forward to with each upcoming patch.
Hmm. Roegadyn beefcakes. Thought I would be crushing on the cat boys but nope!
Let's just make it short and sweet. Everything.
1. The ALL Jobs on one Character is awesome.
2. The graphics are beautiful.
3. The play is very fun.
4. The story is interesting.
5. The challenge is adequate.
Mounts (when I have enough I will dedicate a specific mount to each class)
Minions
Crafting
The self-sufficiency that would allow me to avoid using the market boards completely if I wasn't so lazy
The touching Alchemist, Carpenter, and Goldsmith class quests that were about helping people in need rather than saving the guild's reputation
The FFXIV Gif thread
Crystal Tower/Labyrinth of the Ancients
HILDIBRAND!! That quest line was amazing! ^_^
ULTROS!
What I like:
PLD's design
General pacing and storytelling
female highlanders
the music
my lalafell's deceivingly cute animations
current party dynamics
Multi-job system (not necessarily the armory incarnation but yeah. E.g. FFV's, FFXI's)
Ranked in order of awesomeness..
1. It's final fantasy. It has ifrit and friends, and it's online?!
2. Livia battle music, Garuda music, Copperbell/Haukke HM music, ff2 battle music.
3. It has content for both casual and hardcore. In my opinion hardcore != VERY hardcore which makes up for maybe 1 % of the population.. And this is the best thing it has to offer.
4. It understands that skill != air time.. Grinding only gets you so far.
5. It has so many things to do..and still has more coming up?!
6. It's cheaper entertainment than most things people do for entertainment.. And offer just as much value.
Emoticons.
all of the above + all the allusions to the previous FF series.
This thread. :D
I love the jobs and how varied bosses can be downed with different party setups.
The ease of getting into content.
How this game somewhat respects my RL responsibilities but can keep me hooked for playing for 22 hrs straight (like i did in December).
PvP
Armory System
Crafting
Gathering
Collecting gear sets, pets, mounts
The house my FC will have in about a week or two
:D
I love the forums. I think they are hilarious. :p And more entertaining.
I really like how the wind moves and twists your hair and clothes around, I was really surprised when I saw this for this first time.
The zones are amazing, they have really done a great job making each zone have a unique feel to it.
The U.I is a vast improvement over 1.0
Lots of stuff to do on a new character
I like the crafting interface , the crafting and gathering logs are a very welcome addition. Great job on this :D
And the music is amazing as always, final fantasy games always hit the nail on the head in the music department.
Nice thread btw, we need more stuff like this
More positive vibes from the FFXIV community *<(^_^)>*
from the "respect" thread
I enjoy the outdoor areas and exploring them. The fantastic storyline and dialog from NPC. The armor in the game looks really nice and diverse. Of course there is the music!
From the top of my head and probably incomplete list:
- Armory system (what brought me here in the first place)
- Graphic/character design
- Graphics/modeling/animations in general
- Weather
- The world of FFXIV
- Storyline and characters
- Linkshells
- Macros
- The fact that you can play an archer without a pet
- The scholar class, which I found an interesting and original way to play healer
- The craft system (second best/first-tied best I've ever seen)
- The difficulty progression and game tutorial is probably the best I've ever seen (the way the game introduces the new player to tools/concepts one after another and in a practical way)
