I miss the V1 sometimes. There is somethings about it that was more magical then ARR right now. Cant really put my fingers on it tho. I lost most of my V1 picture but im glad i have made a clip with my V1 pics.

They are coming. At least that's what I recall them telling us for when they release the DX11 patch.
Unfortunately, high res textures won't bring back the shaders or softer lighting that really brought out the detail of the gear and characters.

Ahh, seeing this definitely makes me wish I had my current PC back then to actually be able to play it. I might've hated it but going off videos and all these pictures it sure seemed to have its charms.
Also as someone mentioned earlier the sound effects, compared to 2.x were a lot more FF-like. :(

3d Images, changed original file extension to .jpg so they would show up here.

If you have 3d and want to view them you will have save and rename the file extension back to .jps

I miss how natural the game use to look. now everything has some lame over-the-top glow effect :/ Gear looked more practical in 1.0 and like it would actually be useful. Now everything is big stiff trench coats with impossible metal work that swishes back and forth when you walk just the same as a spring dress skirt does. Details count and SE is really cutting corners on the visuals in 2.0 :(

The funny thing is that back then, people complained about the gear being too simple and boring. I agree, though, I'd rather have gear be more simple than flashy.

PWEEEZ bring 3d support back, anyway I digress, continue.

seeing those weapons makes me a bit sad, everything is just a stat stick now, sure its easy to work with but...new gear isn't exciting or fun, ever. It's only worse that the secondary stats are of so little consequence.
