People have already gotten the drake and gobbue mounts from maxing rank. So personally I don't see the point in rushing to max your rank. World's first is already done. It's not the end of the world if you miss 5 reputation points on a certain day because you didn't want to do a Fate. It just means maxing out will take one day longer than if you did the dailies every day.
sylph quests are so painful in general. I hate the ones with time limit (now you see me and this other one that you have to deliver a pumpkin all the way at the end (top) north area of Larkscall.. this is one of the most painful sylph quest for me since I do everything alone, I had to redo this one more than 10x due to monsters (Sylvan's lvl 47-48) attacking me and me running out of a second of 2) I cant wait to be done with sylph quests... its like hell!
Oh absolutely! I'll take sitting on my butt waiting for a fate over doing the damn invis or pumpkin ones any day. While I enjoyed the amal'jaa the sylph is grind my teeth and get it over with as soon as possible and never look back. I celebrate on days without those ones :P
Did typing that (insulting me) make you feel better about yourself?
Let's recap here... I said that I felt that I had made my point and was leaving because enough people were obviously not on board. Also, SE themselves disagreed with me and went and changed the FATE spawn times for dailies.
So, your response is to come in days after the fact and directly quote me and accuse me of being "mildly retarded at best".
Hmmm, who is the mildly retarded one here?
Honest question... Do you do this with everyone in your life? Someone says something in a group setting, others in the group disagree with them, the person in question says "allright, I'll leave and let you enjoy your conversation"... and then your genius response is to run after them and say, "well good, I'm glad you're leaving because everything you've said was mildly retarded!".
Wow, what a way to live your life, I bet you're VERY popular.
The only thing i really want changed on fate dailies is that the loot reward be a key item - I hate how I fill up my inventory, rush to do a fate and don't get drop because Inventory is full. Fist time it happened, I did the fate 3 times in a row before I realized drop was not a key item and inventory was full
I actually like that they drop items, because it means I can do the FATE when its convenient, even if I dont have the quest for it currently, and then when I do get the quest, can just turn in that item. If people really can't spare one spot of free space in their bags, they could always make these key items.
Having the FATE quest items before you actually have the quest takes care you only get the FATE quest once in a week, if at all. Surely it is random but still funny. Without having the quest item, I get the FATE quest several times per week lol. SE scanning my repository maybe? :P
Greetings,
We understand that it’s often difficult to complete daily quests that involve FATEs when solo, and as such, in patch 2.2 we will be making adjustments to these FATEs. Depending on the number of participants in prior occurrence of a FATE, the consequent FATE’s difficulty will be reduced. (Even if the number of participants was high, the difficulty will not increase beyond the current difficulty.)
Hang on, where's the logic here?
What relevance has the participation in the PREVIOUS FATE got to do with THIS one? Those players have gone, what does it matter how many of them did it last time? If, say, 10 did it then and only ME needs it now 'mine' will scale to 10?
Your explanation is as clear as mud to be honest, but scaling 'future' events based on 'past' participation seems devoid of logic to me.
That is absolutely wrong. This FATEs are one-time for any player so when it is complete people will not do it again so every time there are new people with irrelevant number of them.
If your idea is to give a player second chance in the case of failed FATE then it is a bad one cause it is already a pain to wait for a single FATE spawn.
And in this case if a single player comes to a FATE which was previously completed by a large group of players then he fails and is forced to wait for next FATE respawn.
You should make FATE difficulty dynamic depending on number of players currently participating in it. You can make adds spawn more often if number is high or spawn friendly NPCs if the number is low. Friendlies may leave battle (or die somehow) if the number of participants increases.
For boss FATEs here is an idea - the boss makes very wide AOE (mostly unavoidable and fast) and gets a buff decreasing incoming damage depending on a number of players hit. Or any other debuff. The buff may be say 20 seconds long to update the boss difficulty if the number of participants changes.
This sounds pretty cool.
I agree that the most difficult part of them is the actual spawn rate but I hope they expand this dynamic difficulty to other fats as well.
There are so many cool fates I'd like to fight but there's no-one around.
For example in Oakwood the fate is almost never an active fight because it does require a party that in most cases just isn't there. (the monster looks really cool though!)
I vote with the other guy in this thread to remove fate grinding for dailies. They are stupid and boring and enough ppl complain about them already. I don't do them myself personally cause like many others have said it requires either a tank or rank 4 bird to solo and the one Magiktek Menace or however it's spelled is horrible with the bugs in resetting position and all the adds that keep coming. With PS4 new players will be coming out so I see a reason for them to be nerfed.
Waiting for Fates should be abolished, as soon as a Fate ends an NPC should pop immediately which you can talk to that will start a new Fate. Also NPC's should be added to the Fates to help like in FFXI Campaign depending on the number or participants.
Greetings,
In addition to the adjustment mentioned yesterday, in patch 2.2 we'll also be removing the rare attribute on the reward items for completing FATEs for beast tribe daily quests. With this adjustment, you'll be able to stock up on the items that you need to complete quests if you happen to comes across a FATE.
Also, I'd like to elaborate a bit more on the previously mentioned adjustment that is planned.
Up until now we've made it so depending on the number of participants in the FATE that occurred previously, the number of monsters will vary. Additionally, if there were a lot of participants and a large monster, that monster's HP would increase.
To add to this in patch 2.2, we'll be making it so if there were not a lot of participants in FATEs related to beast tribe daily quests, the HP of the large monster will decrease.
Being able to stock up on the items will make those dailies much simpler. Often times I'd be doing the beastmen quests, notice the FATE had spawned, and I'd participate just to get the item ready for next time. Now it'll be even easier. I loved having the item in my inventory preemptively, and taking all of 2 seconds to complete the quest the next time I got it :).
Hopefully the HP decrease on the boss mobs will be noticeable. My only other gripe was how long it could take to solo the boss, so I'm glad it's being looked into as well.
Thanks!
It's a shame they can't set it up where the fate can adjust difficulty dynamically the more/less people that are in the fate, instead of having it adjust the next time the fate occurs.

So yes, it's actually designed as 'Rare/Ex' and simply localized to ''Unique/Untradable" on the English client.
the only part that really bothers me about it, most people do their leveling through FATE grinding, at least anyone prior to 2.1, and now they want to make you wait for a FATE to complete a daily task...........really bothers me, although i do like that you rarely get the same quest multiple days back to back
I really, really wish I had a screenshot of a treasure map inside a gathering node right now (hint: they're flagged as Rare).
Actually Junpei meant just those who visit the English forums. There's still a good chance that there's more than 1%, for various reasons, but he/she wasn't saying the Japanese are less than 1%(which I thought he/she meant too at first, then I reread it). That being said, they are making way to big of a deal over it, especially after you gave them what they asked for and promised to concede to.
