I doubt its heating issues with some people mines in a well ventilated area and the room is constantly at about 75 degrees or less and it still froze on me plus this is the crystal white ps3 that came out less than a year ago and I run it a lot of times for more than 8 hours at a time. I'm thinking it may have to do with the patch

My game on the PS3 has froze on me six times already over the past three days. The most recent one happened when I was teleporting from Limsa Lominsa Aetheryte Plaza to the Aftcastle. It froze on the loading screen. On other occasions, it just froze when I was travelling from one location to another.
