If I get i90 feet with my current gear I will be at 440 acc :/ Ugh I hate bard gear set.
The high accuracy in t5 is supposedly only needed for the snake adds, not on the boss. I don't remember what I had for breakfast today so don't expect me to remember where I saw this lol
Well you can see my gear, its not exactly what I want but it's what I'm working with http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/2950090/
Here's mine, http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/4117621/
Aiming for Vortex ring next, and still thinking if I should buy Myth Bracelet and switch the Necklace to Ultima, because it seems the i70 with full meld is about the same stats. with Ultima, just losing about 3 crit which is....... really not noticeable, but gaining a bit of VIT and SS if I use the i70 choker.
You know I actually have the Hero Bracelet, I completely forgot that I had it. Been wearing the allagen for so long. Well that makes things more manageable, if I use that I might not need to get ultima choker and feet wont destroy my acc. At this point I'm aiming for Allagen feet and tremor earings then Elfin Bow. See where that brings me.
My New Gear.
BiS BRD:
elfin bow
allagan visor of aiming
bard's shirt
bard's ringbands
heroe's belt of aiming
bard's tights
allagan sollerets of aiming
ultima choker of aiming
inferno bangle of aiming
Tremor Earrings of Aiming
gryphonskin ring HQ (with 1x vitality IV, 2x Savage aim III,2x savage might III
gryphonskin ring HQ (with 1x vitality IV, 2x Savage aim III,2x savage might III
+ acc buffood 27 (lava toad legs)
501 dex
469 acc
573 crit
295 det
359 skillspeed
417 vit
8 dex -
+ 18 skillspeed
+16 vit
-8 crit
with group bonus
the acc is enough for T5
I've come up with a BiS Crit build for my bard. It is as follows:
Elfin Bow
Bard's Chapeau
Bard's Shirt
Bard's Ringbands
Hero's Belt of Aiming
Allagan Trousers of Aiming
Allagan Sollerets of Aiming
Ultima Choker of Aiming
Hero's Earrings of Aiming
Inferno Bangle of Aiming
Allagan Ring of Aiming
Hero's Ring of Aiming
+Deviled Eggs HQ=
DEX 493
ACC 475
CRIT 590
DET 262
S.SPEED 352
VIT 387
Determination is a low in this build, but as bard relies on Crit for their Bloodletter Procs, I feel it is more important.
Hello I guess this is the best place to ask. I got BRD to 50 this morning and beat titan tonight (got titan bow) and in the process of farming tomes for oil. Is Titan bow better than Relic? It has Det but no skill speed and a lil bit more AA, so I figured that would be better. I plan on doing Coils.
Also next week I'll have enough Myth Tomes to buy the Relic body. Should I buy Body 1st, Accessories, or 2 495 pieces?
Artemis looks far better though.
Can anybody suggest BiS for bard that can't get Allagan bow, but using Elder bow? (lv 90 primal).
Because it doesn't give accuracy, it seem to need the change on the whole gear set.
^
Only one way? what about use other part to make up?
This set would work.
Note that you're having to drop two of your slots to ilvl 80 to make the accuracy work, losing 4 DEX in the process (not to mention the other stats). The only other way to keep it to ilvl 90 would involve at least one T5 drop.

Thank you
But is that stat already counted toward full party Bonus?
I think you only need 472+ acc after joined party right?
Ok Thanks guys. I'll just Finish the Tomes for Relic Bow and use Titan's. If someone has an issue I'll just change.
I will come into the discussion as a BRD who is crushing his head on multiple BiS since 2.1.
First thing i want to say is that 472 ACC is the max you would want for Coil T5. Been there during the last 2 months and i NEVER miss a hit, judging by what i see on my screen and what parsers say.
Second point is that i don't want to make a BiS with ACC food in it. Reason : if i'm don't have time to craft it before going to Coil I'll be fucked, and now that my FC has it on farm every week we don't even bother to take food with us.
Now I've made these BiS, and I would like your opinion and advices :
#1 : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LGAH
476 ACC
502 CRIT
282 DET
#2 : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LGAJ
472 ACC
520 CRIT
276 DET
Difference between #1 and #2 is : +18 CRIT / -6 DET.
Now my main question is, is 18 CRIT really important beyond 500 as it will only be around 1% crit chance more ? Knowing that 6 DET increase direcly damages in par with around 1 DEX.
I know that CRIT can help Bloodletter procs, but 1% in a whole fight is nothing while DET increase all my damages. I'm really confused on which stat i should be prioritizing because a lot of CRIT means not really high crit rate and a lot of DET means more damage...
(char limit on above post sry)
As long as you hit 20% base crit chance without buffs, Bloodletter should proc often enough. I think you'll see higher numbers some fights with Crit, and a nicer sustained number with Det. That's just how those two stats work, though, isn't it?
20% base crit is around 550-555 crit. The problem is with BRD gear is if you want to max crit, acc will suffer. I can hit 547 crit maxing it on all pieces but that means 433 acc : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LGBH. If I want to keep my 472 acc I need to go this way : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LGBF. If you add HQ Deviled Eggs it's 555 crit. But this is at the cost of 38 DET which is quite a lot.
And for now with the #1 setup minus boots (because i'm unlucky ^^) and allagan ring parsers say around 28% crit rate on a whole coil raid (1-5). And i'm guessing if i won't just stick with this one or if i have to loot pants on T5 and all ex-primal items -_- .
And yes that's it, high crit will push high numbers on some fights, while high det will be more sustained, at least on paper ^^.
The second is the clear BIS option. There isn't a whole lot of DET to be claimed that's not already on a CRIT piece. Might as well keep the 473 ACC for T5 with HQ Eggs, and nom on some HQ Buttons for everything else. But again, that requires quite a considerable amount of loot. But it's just an end goal, use whatever gets Twin down for ya. :P
Is it worth it to buy Hero Bracelet to compensate the ACC loss from changing gears? I'm still working on T5 so I can't farm for the pants yet, and Hero Bracelet is the only thing I can think off that will save me from ACC loss, or should I just revert from my previous gears?
Here's what I'm wearing atm,
Titan Bow (No chance that I'll upgrade my Relic Bow to Zenith)
Bard's Chapeau
Bard's Shirt
Bard's Ringbands
Hero Belt of Aiming
Bard's Tights
Bard's Sandals (will switch to Allagan Boots)
Gryphonskin Choker of Aiming - Full Meld (Will switch to Allagan Choker
Hero's Earring of Aiming
Allagan Bracelet of Aiming - (<--- my concern atm)
Vortex Ring of Aiming
Hero's Ring of Aiming
This gives me a total of 448 ACC, using HQ Deviled Eggs, I only have 457 ACC which is really not enough for T5. Stuffed Cabbage is my another choice, but I'm not sure if it'll be enough to hit 472 ACC
u can change the rings with 2 gryphonskin with full meld check my BiS list
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...0/blog/697804/
The Hero's Bracelet is really good, and for the Artemis Bow Zenith BIS list it's a necessary piece. After eating HQ Devilled Eggs, that'll put you at 473 accuracy (assuming you didn't meld 3 acc into your Gryphonskin Choker). That'll give you 99.99% Accuracy on everything but Asclepius in T5. For that fight, put on a Gryphonskin Ring over the Vortex Ring.
I agree that aiming for 482 acc is unnecessary, with 472 I missed something like once per run on Asclepius and anyway during that phase my main role is to serve the mages their Foe Requiem so I really wouldn't bother raising acc... Best option imho is BrandoH's set but with Bard's head instead of Allagan, which would result in 476 acc, 561 crit and 244 det with HQ eggs
If I buy the Hero Bracelet, I'll have 473 ACC with HQ Deviled Eggs without reverting the Vortex ring back to Gryphonskin Ring.
But once the Allagan Choker drops, I'll be having another ACC problem. LOL!
I think without Allagan items, this is best in slot
Artemis Bow Zenith
Bard's Chapeau
Bard's Shirt
Bard's Ringbands
Hero's Belt of Aiming
Bard's Tights
Ultima Choker of Aiming
Hero's Earrings of Aiming
Hero's Bracelet of Aiming
Ultima Band of Aiming
Vortex Ring of Aiming
Humhum~
I guess I'll just buy the Bracelet instead of going for the Zenith, as I'm not really fond of the additional stats. from upgrading to Zenith, might as well just spend a week of my myth, instead of 2 weeks.
If you go that long without any Allagan loots, you're having a really awful time. But use Hero's Ring of Aiming > Ultima Band, and eat HQ Eggs during Twintania. You also didn't list feet, but the Myth should be worn there too. After the food buff, it'll put you at 478 Acc, 563 Crit, and 235 Det. Plenty enough to cap on everything but Asclepius, and only 4 points short of the the cap on him, so the hit rate should still be really high.
I'd honestly rather have 99.99% on Asclepius than 6 more points of crit, given that it's less than half of 1% increase iirc (Also, 495 Myth saved if you didn't spend it yet). But the difference between the two is negligible currently. I think I'd like to have the 482 for when 2.2 comes out as well.
I have a question maybe someone can answer. Since I am so low on acc at this point and can not get a boot drop to save my life I am wondering if the crafted boots would give me more acc than non crafted alternatives?
My acc with all my i90 and elfin bow is 429. I have to sub in dl for 2 i90's + food to reach cap. I will be at 411 iirc with all my allegen.
