In one slot. SCH had a hat problem and a boots problem. We kept the boots problem, but it was nice to think they were fixing our hat problem. Oh well.

bump, come on dev's give us some info on this one already!
Hey all,
The Allagan items will be reverted during tonight's maintenance (11:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. PST). Appreciate the patience!
I am a very sad Scholar.
not happy, i was rather enjoying the crit on my allagan circlet, i just got it too. booo i say booo
meh think how i felt getting pants from turn 5 then having them nerfed a week later. You can always put crit on a Vanya Hat of Healing if you wanted it that bad in slot.
Why the would they change the allagan circlet, got me all excited and now it's going back. The update at least gave it some variety...
OMG first you change it, That pissed me off cause it gimped my BLM/SMN, then i go get myth boots For BLM For 495 to get over it at least on blm. Then you decide to change it back >< in turn causing me to waste that myth I could of used to get something for another Job specifically smn head or hands. Next time something is a mistake SE Don't put it in patch notes or atleast think about what you do before doing it. Might Help!
P.S ill get over it -.- next week after I cap myth again
Are the developers looking into correcting this better post revert? I can see why these items were changed, because for certain classes, the stats were identical. However I think the changes should have been made to the job specific myth items instead of the allagan items.
I actually really like the change to the allagan boots of casting for blm, but with the revert, I have no options because they have identical stats. I would gladly buy the blm myth boots if this change had been reflected upon the blm myth boots instead.
Are there any plans to make these changes reflect instead on the job specific myth items?
I'd still like to know why they Destroyed the Allegen Heavy Gauntlets from Tanking item to a worthless drop, but removing parry from a tanking item..
Well this is incredibly disappointing :/
Would really like to see them give an explanation of why they changed it and why they're reverting it back. The allagan item change was in the patch notes as a planned changed, so how is that a "mistake"?
Nevermind, saw the post saying they were changed in error, what a stupid error.
I am happy about the fix to the Allagan Boots of Casting. The change really crippled the use of these. I am glad they only changed it in error.
I really don't get why they added Allagan armor with the exact same stats as some AF2... Surely they noticed when they made them!.. And I bought my SCH AF2 legs when they changed allagan, now I feel like I wasted that 825 -.-
OK, Seriously.
SE you really need to have learned something from this.
DO NOT screw around with the itemization on gear. Pick stats, and stick with them ... for better or worse, just stick with them.
I thought they were doing it to promote diversity cause some Allagan items have similar status to AF items? I keep wondering about the circlet change, cause my scholar is really confused now..
The whole "If you want crit, then meld a Vanya Hat" Argument is actually fundamentally flawed with the ability to now restrict who can join your party from the party finder based on the average ilvl of the player. an i70 item like the hat will significantly decrease our ilvl even if it is Bis for us.
Well, I still want to prioritize MND over anything, so it's just confusing for me because if they did make the circlet +Crit, we have WHM Deter and SCH Spell Speed, thus the diversity. Also no complaints about the pants but changing it back would mean that it has exactly same stats with SCH pants?
I used more than a week's worth of mythology tomes to buy my Cleric's Circlet after the change to avoid crit and now they're restoring the DET on the Allagan Circlet of Healing. How annoying. Please make up your minds about stat changes before people are set back a whole week on myth tomes.
boooooo yoshi said that no one piece will be the same..... now (again) the allagan circlet of healing is the same of the argute mortarboard D:
The change was good, it made SCH AF2 Head/Legs and Allagan head/legs different, and not the same EXACT stats, this was a poor decision to change them back. The original change made mixing and matching for healer classes far better. You should seriously reconsider what you've already done because now we're back to the same stat-boring gear to be honest, you just made items almost useless again. Another Dev. response would be very appreciated.
well, for summoners its good! we can use allagan boots again for crit, although i bought the mythology boots sadly! waste of 495 mythos.. Just pretend nothing happened :D!
Thing is,all of you saying you wasted myth tomes, it was posted in patch notes that it was being reverted before 2.1 even came out as others posted. Also, Yoshi talked about it in the live letter the day before release AND people have been making forum posts about it since then. If you can come to forum to talk about that, you can read other posts too. For those upset about diversification, I agree. But I think the myth gear itself is what should be changed, not Coil drops. As RNG is not always kind and some people have been waiting forever to see a certain drop or in some cases any drop for their class.
Well I knew it was coming, but I'm slightly annoyed because the change was good for us Scholars. Now we have two item slots where there's no difference in stats. Not fun. It doesn't make much of a difference to me; I don't need any more drops and I didn't spend extra tomes.
But clearly there was a reason for the change in the first place. It wasn't "in error". Has that reason suddenly disappeared?
The notes said, before the patch had even been released, that they were going to change them back.
Anything dumb someone did, like spending myth tomes suddenly, is wholly their own fault.
To me, it doesn't make much sense for the Allagan healer gear to have crit, because it's for both classes and crit doesn't help WHM much.
IF those pieces offered some extra PIE with their crit, maybe that'd be interesting.
Wrong. The patch notes weren't updated until the 16th (Maintenance day) to reflect the error that they made. Patch notes were released on the 14th. There were 2 days where anyone who cared to get prepared for the patch were effectively lied to and completely wasted their tomes.
