Goobue mount

I don't give a crap. They said the mount was exclusive to 1.0. Making a slight tweak to it's appearance doesn't change the fact that it's still a goobue mount. SE really....

If they wanna make the collector's edition and pre-order items available to everyone, I'd welcome it.

Locking players out of stuff entirely has never been something I can abide, and it's bad enough they're tying certain things to out-of-game purchases. So them re-offering the goobbue now is a good move in my eyes.
Unfortunately it's NOT the same one, which actually WOULD have been better. :-/

We don't seem to share the same opinion here, which is fine, but keeping their promise with removing a carpet and adding some flowers... Well, for me a different mount makes a complete different appearance and not just changing some stuff on the head.
Like I wrote before, we cannot change it anyways.

The only goobue mount to exist in game was supposed to to be the one from 1.0 is what ppl were expecting as promised. Making a slight difference won't have ppl saying oh that lucky 1.0 player they have the goobue mount. Now you will have to look closer to distinguish between the 2 is what I'm getting from some posts.
Oh and btw, we only got our names put in the game credits if we responded to the email they sent out saying we could submit our names. So if ppl missed that or didn't bother and are Legacy, they don't have their names automatically in the credits.

Legacy players butthurt much? You wouldn't feel special anymore, right? You got minions, your names in the endgame cinematics, more awesome Gobbue mount... isn't it enough?

lets add nael van darnus fight back in and we will have him drop pancakes as opposed to meteors and we will get the white pancakes reward for it. The ear rings will be syruppy color...totally different right?

I'm a bit shocked why they are re-releasing goobbue mount again even if it is promised it is only for version 1 players (not just legacy cause even if your non legacy, and you played version 1 and got the horn, you can still have goobbue mount). Even though it is different, the "special gift" SE gave old players are, well kinda feel a bit lost so I feel what the OP is saying. But on the other hand, I'd like to see new players experience the mount too. Cause it is a cool mount. now since I'm a legacy player and I was not able to get the "pre order minion (cait sith)", if they release a different version for it, that would be nice and fair. I mean, we all want to have minions and mounts right ^_^

As a Legacy, i could not care less.

its a different goobue ... I have my 1.0 goobue and there is a big difference in the look get over it people >.>...

I, for one, think this is a good thing. Ever since the Beta people have been complaining about the goobbue. We Legacy players got to use it near the whole Beta through while new players coming in on invites were left wondering, "How do I get that?" When the answer finally sunk in it started this whole wave of negative sentiment towards Legacy which still persists in spite of everything. It's so bad it's had the developers keep us locked away in our overcrowded servers till they can find a means to lessen the imaginary blow our presence on new servers will cause. With the Beastman Quests offering a new goobbue mount hopefully we can get past this and finally move on to easing the restrictions that have been so blindly imposed.

Ugh just when I thought that I was safe from this walking mound of dull grey flesh. Most 1.0 players have lost that novelty factor of their odd looking Goobue mounts and ride their chocobos like regular people.

Why does it matter? it's a cool mount and now more people get to enjoy it.

You still have your tattoo'd chocobo which is a far better 'badge of honour'.

I agree the Goobbue thing makes me sad, at least we have nice affordable housing to look forward too as legacy players! oh wait.... ; ;

Don't care they released a gobbue mount for everyone since it's ugly, but I'm just curious to see how many of the people who said "it's not the same, stop whining 1.0 players" will come crying "it's not fair, I paid a collector" when they'll decide to recycle the coeurl mount with a carpet on it.

Kinda see the point when people said SE played on word (was obvious they would) when you see that fatass is one of the things that justify the insane price of housing for legacy servers (yep, that was a totally random blow)

I can not wait to get my Goobue mount!

If it were grey and not black then no you would have no right to be upset. It is very common in every MMO game with mounts to have many diffrent skins all be considered and named as a different mount...If the fact that somone else will be able to ride a digital Goobue upsets you so much, you clearly have a sad existence.

We put up with all the crap from 1.0, the Goob was literally ALL we got as a thank you. If you didn't play 1.0 then you cannot comment. If you did play it you might just understand how annoying it is to see our unique mount now being given to everyone because of QQ. If you believe having a rug makes it a completely different mount then there's something not quite right upstairs. Now all I have are my useless White Ravens....

I'm a legacy player and I don't care if everyone has access to the same chocobo and goobbue as I do. Honestly, it's not even a thing I give a crap about in any way whatsoever. I encourage the idea of everyone having access to everything, because it means that more people are likely to play the game.

I would happily give up my legacy status if it meant I could afford FC housing, let alone large FC housing.

Really? What about your reduced subscription fee, which I would say is way better than any stupid mount? This wasn't even a reward for playing 1.0, it was just a limited time event that happened to occur during 1.0.

I have the old Goobue mount, but I'm glad they have this one too. The flowers are pretty. I wonder what kind of mount we'll get from Kobolds and Sahagin. Maybe a giant Golem and a Salamandar?
