How much achievement points do you got, so far?

Can I be that person who usually comes in to complain about achievements and tell you all to enjoy what I find fun?

1755, but I'm focusing more on crafting, so look out!

I'm at 1305 so far.

Actually Achievements ingame became something i aimed for when i got older and older. :p For me it is like playing old FF-Titles and aiming for completing the Game 100%. Yes, it is just a number, like everything else in the Game is just Pixels.

Yes but while there are numbers that are affecting my game (see HP for example) some others dont make much sense.
You beat that many quests. But how many of them did you enjoy?

I did enjoy most of them. Some were just time-consuming, like Luminary-Tools but beside that most Quests were fun. Some have hilarious Comedy and also gives hints about the Lore. A good example is Hildibrand from 1.0 and soon 2.1 ! I loved his Questline and i would hope for more funny Sidequest like them. After all i am a completionist, or "achievement-whore", however you want to call it, but yes you are right; most of them does not affect the Gameplay itself, it is most likely "Side-Content" and by no means should affect regular Gameplay.

i am a total completionist so i enjoy working on achievements, i am currently @5090 and still have some relics to do and other misc stuff and should be around 5300 when im done then its all the really long grind ones left.

Actually, there are quite a few items worth the time to obtain them that you can receive by earning achievements. Spiritbonding gear and some very nice stuff for vanity slots.

May not be for everyone, but i'm enjoying seeing my number go up steadily (wish I could access it from work to post it here but alas the Lodestone is off-limits).

5005 achievement points here....reaching the limit very soon.

I am at like 1500 but I really slowed down lately. With the patch coming I decided to focus on making gil over everything else.

it's rather disappointing what they did with achievements though, devaluing them from what they were in 1.0 like gambler's crown and crafting luminaries where they're an utter joke to obtain now.

se also released a list of achievements that were going to become unobtainable but apparently the list seemed to be incomplete. there were a lot more that i didn't bother going for because it wasn't on the list and I thought was going to be in 2.0 but they must have threw them in the "unobtainable" list at the last second so i'm screwed out of them now. gj se.

They don't scale well in terms of time devoted. Mining 12,000 nodes for the tier 5 gets you 30 points. So does getting three DoH to level 10.
