If you think about it, this is the perfect looking gear for ilvl60. Ugly enough that you want to get out of it as soon as possible and get some Darklight on you.

Gear looks wasn't restrained due to the PS3 or else every other MMO out there has gear unrestrained by the unlimited potential of the PC platform yet they rarely get any good designs out..so no, its restrained by what the developers want the gear to look like. Btw, they scaled back models and got rid of visual belts so they can make 'better armor design faster.'

Where's hard mode AK for the hardcore players? I guess patch 2.1 will just finally complete a game that was incomplete.

I would totally play a new class and enjoy all these new contents until I get to the very end dungeon, coil, in which I can't enter unless I leave my group that's I've been playing with for so long.

That gear design is missing something... hmm, yeah... STYLE!

What's with those gear designs? Come on! give us something with spikes, barberic, sexyness and dark style. Not this generic styleless garbage.

You guys were expecting fancy new model gear for what is just a lv50 version of a lower level dungeon? cmon....

I've never seen that gear with the spikes all over it though. and there's something funny about the shoes the roe male is wearing.

That armor style...is already existent!

Another re-color of existing armor skins :/

I actually like the female elezen's mask and boots. I think I will get those for vanity gear.

Since I've became a Darklight clone, I've started enjoying them Cowls.

I hope the Bliaud there is for casters, because healers already get one in AK.

Loving the Elezen gear. And the hairstyle. Hate the subligar. Why is it always a subligar. WHY.

This game actually has armor that looks like the stuff you might want to wear, as opposed to wearing:

1. Next to nothing (or just nothing).
2. Stuff that can be tripping hazard.
3. Stuff that can accidentally impale your friends.

They seriously couldn't take the time to come up with new armor sets? Really?

Ugly Gear....

Dark Souls has better looking gear than this game. This game has some of the most boring armors I've seen in a game. I play games to escape reality and don't expect to have boring crap in a game remind me of it. Step it up SE you have so few good looking armors in this game.

For what amounts to trash gear, I don't see an issue with it per say, even if it is ugly.. still better than another game that added a bunch of "new" gear after a small level cap bump, and the new gear looked like level 1 gear. ^^;;

I think the Tank armor will be nice to mix and match with other stuff until you get CT/DL/AF+1/Allagan

Ppl need to stop complaining though. This stuff is the same iLvl that drops from AK, and nobody whines about that because they don't wear it for long.



I'm sure the CT armor designs will be more impressive.

Wonder which game this was? Guessing it was WoW since I know in FFXI when the cap raised I sure as hell had nothing like Dancer's Empyrean Armor at level 1.

Guys compare the looks of this armor to AK and WP. have you seen the christmas sweater of Doom?

Hmm, no?
SE only said it take around 6 month to create a new gear model. Reskinning already existing gear models is faster.

Anyone else a little upset that the Hard Mode dungeons have an average Item Level requirement of 48? I would have hoped they would have put it up at 60, since that's at least on par with AK gear drops....or are these just laughable excuses for making level 50 easy mode dungeons of old content. I honestly doubt the challenge will be there for those that are in mostly DL gear by now.....hope they prove me wrong.

It's definitely not WoW. Nor Rift. I'm not sure which MMO the person was referring to.

I've just about had all I can stand of the reusing of the same few armor models in this game, though.

Level 99 white knight here....

Yeah definitely hard to get all your 60+ jewelry without filling it out with DL or getting lucky with AK runs. Although I'd assume most already have their DL Jewelry in their main role if they've played consistently since release. I know I've got two fully DL geared jobs and working on the third and I took my sweet time getting my first job to 50.

You are right, there really hasn't been anything overtly challenging in this game. Titan was just a latency check and a complete derp check. Coil 1-4 really is fairly face roll and T5 is funny.

Still not out of line to ask for an actual Hard Mode to be exactly that....Hard.
