Heck the bed

I remember hecking the bed and finding a Holy Shield... I proceeded to taunt my LS mate who was waiting to get that one from the bedtime gods :3

Similar to how players were once able to check their beds within the Inn for special items; the team has considered reapplying this feature, perhaps for use in a special event. We don’t have a specific timeframe for this but we will let you know more information as it’s available.

The team isn’t planning on removing the “cutscene” where players lie down on the Inn bed to logout, and there isn’t going to be any options to change camera angles or freely interact with the bed while lying down.

We did also ask the team about "pajama gear", but currently there aren’t any plans.

The only thing that bothers me is when I get out of bed, I am facing the camera but then it quick-fades and I am suddenly facing the bed.

Yeah it's strange. If you log out in your Inn regardless of whether you did so via the bed it gives you the "wake-up" cutscene upon logging in and the proceeds to return you to the position you were in when you initially logged (even if it's on the other side of the room). Since interacting with the bed forces you to face it there's no way to set it up to look appropriate.

It would be nice if your bed somehow teleported you to a "nightmare" battlefield randomly, lol.

I just want something unexpected, like the nightmares in 1.0.

Checking the bed seems like a great idea :D I hope this gets put in eventually along with PJs!

But that can already be skipped by simply selecting "Log Out" on the System menu rather than clicking the bed. o_O

Pajamas suggestion: Hempen camise and pantalettes? It's what I wear to bed, anyway. In salmon pink or sky blue, they're super cute. (Maybe not so much for the menfolk.) But I can't abide my little Lalafell going to bed in sandals. That's just wrong.

I had heard about the dreams and the eggs, but I'd never seen one. I thought there was something wrong with me -- or I thought I had to be a higher level. Good to know it might be coming back someday!

I hope they might bring back the other stuff as well that was in 1.x for 2.x.

The nightmares were awesome. Was unexpected too since you couldn't predict when you'd see it, but it was such a memorable thing. Added that bit more immersion to Eorzea.

As far as I can remember, the things you could find in the bed were Mizzenmast / Roost / Hourglass biscuits, meat Miqa'bob, crystal shards (I remember ice specifically), ginger cookies (it mentioned a dream about a wizard, I think), eggs and roast pipira. May have been more, but aside from the relics I don't recall which.

Face away from the bed and manually log out. Once you log back in you will get out the bed and be facing the correct way.

YES!!!!! Great idea. You could have pajamas as high level crafted gear that increases your rest EXP accumulation rate, or something like that. Make this happen SE!!!!

I can't take credit for the pajamas idea since they were already discussing it, but I will happily accept credit for the Moogle slippers. ;)

Definitely want back the dreams/nightmares. Loved them and made sleeping feel pretty immersive in the game.
