Lightning FATE--Are you thinking ahead, SE?

Pointless to condemn an event that hasn't even happened yet, rather it's pointless to even talk about if one already has their mind set on the outcome of the event.

While I like all the fanservice and event items they give to us there's only 1 problem with this particular fate....

NO ONE can actually enjoy this gear in their level range without gimping the own battle capacity.
The only time where you can actually wear it is inside the cities, which is sad.

They should release the vanity system already for us to actually enjoy the outfits outside the cities and joke-runs.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Light, I am looking forward to this and I hope it's not limited to just lv 50's. I prob won't be 50 by that point, lol.

Anyway I love the fanservice of this game and I, personally, hope there is more of these added to the game. I would love to see characters from FF1-12 as well. Hell you can add Enix characters too, like the slime (so cute!) as a minion! I wouldn't like Disney characters in it, but fortunately those aren't owned by SE so I'm not concerned about them :)

Dont forget Crystal Tower itself, is a throwback to FFIII ;p We should remove that as well, oh and chocobos, remove them!, and jobs...... those too...... ^.^

Anyway, as for my 2 cents of why I accept this temporary addition to the game, I think it sounds fun. People are analyzing the Lore aspect of Lightning Returns a lot and don't approve, which is fine, but as a player playing a game I seek to have fun with it, and this sounds fun to me. I've never played a MMO that plays with cross-overs like this, so it'd be new and hopefully interesting.

It makes me wonder if people would protest to Gilgamesh appearing in FFXIV ARR, considering he has had a habit of appearing in FF games and acting like the same person in nearly every appearance. I also can't figure out why people aren't protesting about Shantoto appearing in the game if the idea of a cross-over is so aberrant to them. Is it solely on their like/dislike of FF13?

Meh, Lightning's alright.

I'd be much more excited to see FF 7, 8 or 10 characters return, though. Sephiroth, Vincent, Squall, Auron, Wakka & Lulu > Lightning.

Is the fate still next week?

No but in all seriousness why should I care? Free equipment is free equipment man. Don't like it don't participate. I preordered Lightning returns and I aint ashamed of it. Did it have anything to do with the event? No ? But why should you care. Let them advertise! It brings more content and possible vanity applications.

As I said in another thread that brought this topic up yet again: Square Enix is creating something in celebration of something they consider important enough to them to put the development time into creating it. No one is forcing you to participate in it, nothing is being taken away from you to add it in, and just because you don't like it, that doesn't mean Square Enix should never be allowed to celebrate things they consider important to them.

Vanity slots, my friend... vanity slots...

They already implemented countermeasures by adding zone population limits, please look forward to them, just like when people were stuck in their inn room when the Halloween event just came out or whenever Odin and Behemoth pop.

Oh what's that, you had a leve to turn in in their zone, or perhaps you wanted to gather something or do other FATES? Well you're totally an entitled whiner, suck it up and wait until everyone else who got there first finish, it's only a couple of minutes geez!
